Should I trade Conner for picks?

This is for team 4 in my sig.
I just got offered 2 2020 1st (1 projects early, 1 projects mid) straight up for James Conner, would you make the trade?

My thoughts - I feel I have enough at RB to move him and still be competitive. I really want a piece of the 2020 draft as I currently have no 1sts but I have 2 2nds and 2 3rds, this would give me a strong presence in each round to move up and down in the draft. I know this currently weakens my team and my depth but I think it could strengthen it more in the long run. Also, I'm just not sure how much I believe Conner can keep consistently being a RB 1. Plus 2020 1sts are really hard to get as ppl are treating them like gold, and they will only be harder to get as it gets closer.

I would make that deal with your build for 2 potential top 1-8 overall picks. You can lose Conner and I don't think it matters all that much for this year. Your team looks solid!

If you feel that is the best direction for your team is to invest in the 2020 draft then go for it. Looking at your team, IMO I would either keep Connor or trade him for a high end WR as you are in a good position to win.

The only weak part of your roster is WR. I'd try to sell some RB depth for help at WR, or if you get the two 2020 1sts, I'd try and acquire an upgrade at WR3 using those picks.

I agree, a strong WR 3 would really benefit my team, I do like Moore alot but not sure he makes that leap this year. I do think the 2020 1sts gives me assets that everyone wants, not everyone values Conner the same, everyone views the picks the same and wants them, so it might open more trade avenues or I can just keep them and let them gain in value.

if thats the goal i think its a smart move and i agree everyone will want picks in 2020 but not everyone loves conner. have you put him on the block and whole leagues knows he available?

Yes I have another offer I'm debating as well. Here's the trade offer:
Conner and Kirk
For
Brandin Cooks, 2.09, 2022 1st and Keelan Cole

I like Cooks and he would be a nice WR 3 for me, but the rest of it is a bunch of fluff right now, the 2022 1st will be nice in 3 years lol. Plus I like Kirk quite a bit, especially in the new offense, I think him and Cooks may not be that far apart in points next season, so many mouths to feed on the Rams.

I’d take that deal ASAP, then try to trade one of your 2020 2nds for Samuels. You’d still have the eventual lead back in Pittsburgh along with two 2020 1sts. Win/win!

I was actually planning on doing exactly that, I'm a Steelers fan and I like Conner but think Samuels is more talented and could eventually take over that backfield

Thanks everyone for the feedback, I took the 2 2020 1sts for Conner. I feel good about it, especially moving the value into what I consider universal assets. While I really like Conner, he scares me a bit. I don't see him repeating as a RB1 this season and keeping his value, especially with Samuels looking good at the end of the year. I feel more secure about the value of the picks moving forward and using them to either bolster my roster in 2020 with 2 young potential studs or using them in a trade to acquire a player I have a lot more confidence in than Conner.

Nice to know I’m not the only “crazy” one. Haha. I’m neither a Steelers fan nor a hater (although the girl I’m sweet on loves them, so I might have to convert soon), but I’m of the opinion that Conner mainly benefitted from the Steelers force-feeding him just to prove a point to Bell. I think Samuels has earned some passing down and COP work at the very least, and could win the lead role by mid season if he outperforms Conner the way I expect him to.
