David Moore

Postby nosferatu » Sat Apr 06, 2019 6:00 am

Many stories circulating about whether or not Baldwin will be able to play again after his 3 offseason surgeries. I have a feeling the retirement rumors are premature, but I doubt he'll be much of a factor early in this season. Seems like there may be some opportunity for Seattle's #3 to step up. Moore showed a knack for big plays, but struggled with consistency. That's somewhat to be expected from a 7th round draft pick in year two. He did gain a lot of experience heading into year three breakout time. He had some pretty good pro day numbers coming out in 2017 (26 reps, 4.43 40). I suspect Sea might be using a early pick or two to get some new weapons for Wilson, but is now the time to buy low on Moore? How much are you willing to pay?

A late 2nd is a decent gamble if a team is in need of WR prospects that could put up points this year.

Following this thread. Curious as to how everyone values Moore. He's not rostered in my 10 team league. I had him for the first half of the season but dropped him because he really fizzled out. I could see him picking up steam if he had more targets, which could happen given the Baldwin talks. Am I crazy for valuing him just above dart throw guys like Justin Watson/ Dylan Cantrell?

I think most would value him above the dart throw guys like Watson/Cantrell. Moore has at least shown he can produce.

i picked him up just before his TD run (4 in 3 games?), felt like a boss really.
then he has that non-reception for a TD where he should have dragged his second foot but didn't. this in particular was something that "scared" me, you should have that instinct in your second year.
he then had a couple of bad drops.

in the last five games he had 16 targets for a grand total of 32 yards.

he still had snaps and targets in those games though, especially considering the seahawks reluctance to pass the ball (lockett had 17 targets in those games, baldwin 34).

maybe i'm too much of a pessimist and i'm reading too much into that second foot blip, but i'm a bit worried. his overly quiet end of the season didn't help.

however, he can run routes, he's great at tracking the ball, makes contested catches and has big play ability.

i would have him easily over any dart throw, and i would pay a late second.

I'm not sure I'd pay a late 2nd, but where I own him, I'm not selling for a 3rd. Depending on what happens with Baldwin's health, Moore could be the no. 2 behind Lockett in 2019, and there's no longer any risk of Wilson leaving SEA with this new mega contract.
