Chubb vs Kerryon

Postby proffitt9 » Mon Mar 18, 2019 2:39 pm

What do you think the difference is in value between Nick Chubb and Kerryon? Would you do a 1 for 1 deal? What side would need a little more?

I don't see much of a difference at all right now. Both sound like they will be the feature back, Chubb showed he can catch very well toward the end of last year and Johnson showed he can be a very efficient runner. Not much between these two. I think they both have a chance to be top 15 backs.

Was wondering if it would be worth playing the Hunt card to get a little more back on the chubb side.. I think John Dorsey is a genius and signed Hunt this year to potentially trade him or get the free compensatory pick next year if/when Hunt walks

No way I would add to Chubb to get KJ. I'd want something added to KJ to trade Chubb away.

I have KJ over Chubb but it's a very slight margin. Both seem to be feature backs in their offense's. Both have top 15 potential next year. If KJ didn't get hurt I would like to think he would've been around that mark this past year.

I'm lower on Kerryon than most. I'd need at least Kerryon + early/mid 1st to sell Chubb.

If I had Chubb, I'd probably want a mid 1st added to Kerryon. I wouldn't add more than a 2nd to Kerryon if I was trying to get Chubb. They're relatively close in value.

I definitely have Chubb higher. PPR might give Kerryon a slight boost? (Don't play PPR so not sure how many catches Kerryon had or is likely to have. I pegged Chubb for at least 35-40 before the Hunt trade. Now it depends on Duke. If both Hunt and Duke are there, and Hunt sticks around and actually plays for them, Chubb's role has to shrink a bit...)

I am high on Chubb so I would need an overpay to move him, Kerryon and a mid 1st. For a second, why bother??? (I'm also low on draft picks unless they are very high).

I'd need a late 1st to move Chubb for Kerryon. I love both but I have way more confidence that Chubb can be a 275-300+ carry RB whereas I'm skeptical Kerryon can be a true bellcow. He'll make up for it in efficiency and receptions but I'd like to put my money on volume if I can.

they are close but i dont think anyone is adding to chubb for KJ -

Chubb is very hyped right now for good reason. Browns offence looking fantastic. Chubb should have a ton of goal line carries. Week 9 is going to be interesting to see how large of a hit he takes with Hunt back. yea yea this and that - Hunt is a beast it lowers Chubbs value by a ton.

but but but hunt only signed a 1 year deal..... So what the fact that the browns picked him up clearly states chubb is not a cow to them.

You sure about that? My take was that Dorsey signed a guy for peanuts that he already knew from drafting him originally. They can use him and get production at the very least or, more likely trade him or get a compensatory pick for those peanuts.
