Boyd vs DJ Moore

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What if anything needs to be added to Boyd? Newton situation concerns me but I'm looking to 2020 and beyond.

It all depends on how the Moore owner views Boyd. If they are high on him, maybe an early 2nd gets it done.

I would say they are fairly close, especially after Boyds 1k yards last year. So depends on how each feel about the player. I personally like Moore a lot more :P, but i am a biased Terp. Try for Boyd and either Lee, Edwards, or the 2.08. Depending on your feelings Miller, Robby A, Coutee could all be be in play as well

This seems about right. I wouldn't add more than that on top of Boyd for Moore.

Moore has the higher ceiling and metrics going for him, but Boyd has been more productive, should be a straight up swap on preference.

Boyd's been more productive because he's been playing in the league for 3 years. His numbers dropped significantly last year once he lost AJG taking away the elite corners. No way I trade Moore straight up for Boyd.

could have sworn a different key player went down that might have impacted the passing game but i cant quite put my finger on it... do you recall??

it was Dalton the starting QB. in weeks 10-12 prior to being injured dalton had a combined 464 yards, 4 TD, 3 int.

i cant look down on boyd for that. meanwhile cam has had 1 dude ever be a relevant WR and that was big boy benjamin for 1 season.

If I could get Boyd + for Moore I'd do it.

Steve Smith??? I think 1394 yards and 1174 yards in back back to years qualifies.

I like Moore better long term but I don’t think there’s a huge difference either way.

The presence of that target vacuum CMC doesn't help.

dude that was 7-8 years ago and Smith is one of the best receivers to ever play the game lol. those two seasons are also the highest passing totals newton has ever hit. i mean sure this does prove he can have a good wr i guess...

So your reason as to why Moore will not develop into a top WR is Cam Newton? But Boyd will be great unless he loses Andy F'n Dalton?

Steve Smith is not a good example of Newton supporting a WR1 because Smith was too elite a receiver? But Dalton's WR1, AJG, is pedestrian?

Those weak passing numbers you provided weeks 10-12 were without AJG and with Boyd. Kind of supports the argument that Boyd is incapable of solid production without Green.

He also was playing with Jeff Driskel... and still played well. Boyd is going to be a solid WR2/low end WR1 for a long time. So smooth. I would have him and Moore at about equal value, couldn't blame someone for going either way

I guess I'm just not that high on Boyd. I wouldn't move Moore for him without something pretty good added. Definitely not a 2nd in a weak class
