For a rebuilding team (12 team PPR) I was offered:
Receive: Allen Robinson
Give: 1.06, 2.06, 3.03, Spencer Ware
Does it make sense to make this trade as a rebuilding team? I will still have the 1.03 and 2.03 in this draft. Figured I could either build around Robinson (and Landry who I also have) , or I could possibly flip Robinson mid-season if he has a good start to the year. Just wondering what people think Robinson is worth, seems hes been a polarizing figure around here lately.
Thanks!

Re: Allen Robinson for 1.06+
As an ARob owner across all my teams - I think this is a bit of an overpay - but not terrible, I'd take out 2.6 at least. I think his value is in the 1.7-1.10 range personally but might not take that unless closer to the draft there was someone I really liked there.
He turns 26 so he is still going to play for a while but what the Bears do with him is a huge question mark - he's great if he can be heavily involved in the passing game.

Re: Allen Robinson for 1.06+
I can't get 1.06 alone, much less 2.06 along with it in any of the leagues I own ARob. I think that is too heavy for a first offer on your end.

Re: Allen Robinson for 1.06+
Yeah it all depends. The rookie at 1.06 may have a better career, equal career, or be lucky to do what ARob has already done but if I had to speculate I think the odds are against the rookie having better career - the odds are better that they'll hold more value in the short term though.
So if you believe in ARob this is a good deal. If you think you can get more for ARob mid-season this is a good deal. If you feel you can get more for your pick down the road, then it is not - all depends if you prefer bird in hand or 2 in the bush. The rest of the offer isnt that important (to me) either way but never hurts to see if you can give up less.

I would rather have the picks, especially in a rebuild

In a rebuild, I would just hold the picks. Seems like an overpay also.
Re: Allen Robinson for 1.06+
Hold the picks. Allen has only ever had one season over 883 yards. Im not high on him.

Re: Allen Robinson for 1.06+
Massive overpay. Keep the picks and rebuild
Re: Allen Robinson for 1.06+
I guess I'm the only one who'd make this trade. Everyone talks about this draft being terrible and not deep, so the 2.06 and 3.03 have little to no value. Ware is also irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. And as far as you rebuilding, not sure why that comes into play here. I'd rather have a 25 year old WR who's shown he has a high ceiling over the 6th best rookie. People get too caught up with rebuilding and thinking they have to trade every single player on their roster for picks who rarely pan out.

Re: Allen Robinson for 1.06+
Wow. Yeah.
The point of a rebuild isn’t to acquire picks.
Picks don’t score points or win games. Picks are currency—as are players. They are more liquid, certainly, particularly during this time of the year...but the point in acquiring them is to be able to acquire players who will score points and win games. Those players don’t have to be rookies.
Everyone is saying “rebuild = acquire picks” but that’s only the first chapter of the rebuild manual. You have to then use the currency to buy production. Will the 2019 1.06 have ARob’s talent? Man. I certainly don’t think so. Can a 2nd make up the difference? Nope. (The later picks and Ware are irrelevant, this is ARob for a 1st and a 2nd.
The point of a rebuild is to divest yourself of assets declining in value and acquire assets that you prefer or that are increasing or stable in value...and then to turn those assets into production. Can those assets be rookies? Absolutely!
They can also be young WRs who are already at or above the ceiling those rookies could reasonably expect to achieve.
(Obviously this depends on the perception of ARob as a player...but my guess is if the OP was one of the anti ARob crowd...we wouldn’t be reading this thread in the first place.
