Is Gurley still a safe top startup pick?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Is Gurley still a safe top startup pick?

Postby mullmania » Thu Mar 07, 2019 4:20 pm

Have an owner concerned about him.

I have a copy of Antonio Brown whose contract will expire this year.

Do I sell AB and get Gurley?

QB-Wentz, Foles, Mariota
RB-Aron Jones-J. Williams, James White, Tevin Coleman,
WR-AB, Cooks, Landry, Sanders, Enunwa, P Rich
TE-Ertz, Rudolph

I definitely think you could use the rb help, what's your format 1QB, 2QB, SF? what are the starting requirements? I'm still in on Gurley; give me 3/4 of his production the last 2 years and he still gets 280+ points

2024: 1.01, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3

Obviously depends on contract details, but I would easily make that trade if the numbers look decent

If Gurley really has arthritis in his knee his career is probably over. Like Bo and his athritic hip, it will be a two year story or rehab, comeback, etc, but as far as I know, athritis is a career killer.

As an AB owner neither Gurley nor Brown are "safe." Both are high variance elite options. But Gurley is still more safe because his problems are some physical wear and tear while Brown's are situational. Both could get ugly, but Brown could get ugly quicker....like seeing him retire sometime this year if he doesn't like his situation. Ugh.

I would sell AB for Gurley straight up yes.
Team 1
10 team .5 PPR, 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1Flex

RB: McCaffery, Guice, D Williams, Breida, Drake, Penny, S Ware, R Jones, J Adams, I Smith

TE: Kelce, Herndon

Picks:
2019 1.10, 2.10, 3.10, 4.10
2020 1, 2, 3, 4

This. Both have question marks right now and going forward

It depends on a lot of factors, and there are tons of methods available today, including stuff in Europe, as I stated in another post, that isn't FDA approved, but is ahead of the curve to over here. I suspect he gets sent there. Like you said, "if" he has arthritis. However there is not enough information available for any of us to ascertain the level of severity in what he is dealing with.
