Tyler Lockett

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Tyler Lockett

Is Tyler Lockett a hold or a sell this offseason?

How much would it take for you to sell?

Which numbers do you think he will put up next year?

He's a pretty big regression candidate for me so I'd be looking to sell but honestly I'm not sure what you can get for him. I'd probably try to include him in package for an upgrade.

Regression in his efficiency is coming, but so too is regression in SEA's run-to-pass ratio. I'd need a late 1st to sell Lockett.

I might be inclined to buy in some cases since his name doesn't bring with it a lot of value.

If I am the owner, I want a late first, as the buyer, given the abundance at the WR position, a high second would be what I would offer. He is and never will be more than a WR2 in that offense and talent and given the WR ahead of him (Thomas, Hopkins, etc)

I agree with this. The dude caught 10 TDs on 57 receptions... Man I wish Julio could do that for me!

Assuming it's a standard format league, I'd want a mid-late 1st for him or better yet use him in a package to upgrade elsewhere.

Mid first. I think Seattle will balance out their pass/run % and that Lockett surpasses Baldwin.I see no reason why he can’t match/exceed what he did this season.

I'd like to know if anyone has ever had someone approach them about trading for Lockett. What did they offer? If I ever bring up Lockett in a trade offer I get laughed at. I can't even get a second rounder. No one looks at him like a serious WR2 or better. No one

This is exactly why I would be buying him up cheap. He is still undervalued I believe.

Because he finished as WR16 in ppr formats but he did that on the back of insane efficiency and high TD rate. Maybe he is THAT good but most likely it was a fluke year which means that his outlook is 2019 needs to be more in line with what an expected production from his target count was this year or you have to project his targets will go up to offset the regression in efficiency which would be reasonable (juju did it this year) but the problem is the Seahawks seem just content to run the ball 30+ times a game so I don't see his targets going up.

he had a perfect passer rating when targeted on the entire year, that's a PFF record. If you look at all the WR's from 10-24 only 2 Wr's had less than 107 targets....Ridley at 92 and Lockett at 71. That many targets is more in line with players finishing in the WR36 range.

So, he finished WR16, and his target count more typically would net him WR36 numbers. This looks an awful lot like framing up a floor and ceiling to me, maybe? So that’s good WR2 to low end WR3/flex guy. This is about where most people value him I think.

For me, in my sig league I’m kinda interested in packaging one of my other WRs so I can keep him, I don’t expect much trade interest. (I can keep 4 of obj juju Landry Godwin and lockett)

Now to actually answer OP question: is he a sell high or buy low? I don’t see much reason to sell him right now. There’s just no value there for a guy with a top 16 finish, even if it’s a one off. Obviously there’s other factors, for instance in my league it might end up being prudent to take whatever I can get, etc. As far as what to buy him for, I really think it’s a good year to spend a 2nd on him.
