D. Adams trade?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

D. Adams trade?

Postby Ace11 » Sat Jan 05, 2019 8:49 am

Heya, brand new here. And just took over my first dynasty team (2QB). The team I took over was an absolute mess, just finished 2nd to last and will most likely be last next year. I've been trying to rebuild this team but I'm still very weak at the QB and RB positions. The guy who had the team before also traded away the 2018 and 2019 round 1-4 picks. So I can really only improve through trades at the moment

I've been offered several trades for Davante Adams but I've been hesitant. Should I accept any of these offers? If you need any other info, just let me know. Thanks for the help!

1-Sony Sutton 2019 #3 overall

2-Sutton, Guice, 2019 #3 overall, 2nd Rounder from 2020

3-Sony, Ridley

4-Ridley Guice 2019 #3 overall or 2020 1st
0.5 PPR- 2QB/3RB/3WR/2TE/RB or WR/K/D

QB: Rivers, Foles, Manning, Bradford, Tannehill
RB: White, Hines, Barber, J. Allen, CJ Anderson, Burkhead, Powell
WR: Tate, Humphries, D. Hamilton, D. Adams, Agholor, K. Benjamin, Coutee, Firzgerald, Kupp, Nelson, Cobb
TE: Henry, Rudolph, Brate, Andrews
K: Tucker, Butker (need to roster 2)
DEF: Eagles, Cards (need to roster 2)

Since you need young talent and wont be competing for a while it sounds like, I would strongly consider option 2 and 4 but dont know your full roster. A young wr, a young rb plus a picks in 2020 sounds like the way to go for me. Try and get a little more out of those 2 owners

Thank you for the replies. Ive been fielding offers all year for Adams and these were just thrown at me today. Just uploaded my team in my signature. Try not to laugh too much haha

haha...yep, you need a lot of work...what did that guy get for those picks???? i would go into history and see what trades he made...

you could always try to alter trade 2 to a 2020 1st and 2019 2nd if you would rather...
or, if you are not a Sutton fan, take sutton out and ask for both 2019 and 2020 1st round picks...so..
give Adams
get Guice, 2019 1st, 2020 1st and 2020 2nd

This guy made a ton of trades. The most alarming was he traded his 2018 1st round pick for Ryan Matthews. This was done in 2016. What makes this hurt the most is it ended up being the #1 overall this year. Barkley would have been very nice to have. Haha his 2018 2nd round pick was traded for Eddie Lacy

2 is by far the best return. I am also probably one of the biggest Adams fans on here (lots of doubters in this community heading into this season) and he finished WR1. I hate the idea of moving a guy like him, but you need help badly.

Sutton and Guice are potential studs, the #3 pick will most likely net you another young high potential WR this draft and the 2020 2nd will be of good value. I like this offer a lot given your situation.

You should also look at unloading the following players for ANYTHING relevant that you can get.
Rivers
Tate
Nelson
Cobb

Rivers should command a high 1st rd pick + since this is 2QB, don't undersell him as he is your lone aging asset that still holds significant value.

I don't see him being of value by the time your in contention which looks like 2 years out minimum. There are other players like Fitz & Manning who you should sell, but you probably wont get anything for them.

You have a lot on your hands, good luck.
12 TEAM SUPERFLEX, TE Premium, 25 man rosters
QB - | Rodgers | Herbert | Mills
RB - CMC | Chubb | Dobbins | Keaontay Ingram
WR - McLaurin | Deebo | Waddle | Gabriel Davis | Elijah Moore | Mooney | C Ridley | Jameson Williams | Pickens | Alec Pierce | Wan'dale Robinson | Justyn Ross | B Edwards
TE - M Andrews | Friermuth

2023 Picks: 1st round(2), 2nd round(2), 3rd round (2)

2 is the best but I'd still see whatelse I could get. Skins are a mess right now so Guice is still a big question

you will have to take some chances to improve this team without draft picks....Adams is by far your best piece and i think it is a good return...i would probably remove Sutton and get a 1st instead so you can draft your own guy (unless you really like Sutton)
i would try to trade Rivers as well..approach the Winston, Carr, Rosen (i would have mentioned Josh Allen, but i think that his value has risen too high now, but worth a shot) owners and see if you can get one of those QBs and a 2nd or something...trade Tate, but his value is also depressed...Foles name is also trending and i would probably sell him for one of those players and a pick as well

good luck...a fun challenge for sure

I like trade option 2 as well. At least your tight ends are solid. Love HH and Andrews should be good.

4-Ridley Guice 2019 #3 overall or 2020 1st

I would suggest to ask him to combine #2 & #4, something like Sutton, Guice, Ridley and 2020 2nd rounder.
Might even request to upgrade the 2020 2nd to a 2019 or 2020 1st.

I think I would do trade 4 and try to guarantee I get 1.01 for 2020. Getting Tua in a 2QB should probably be part of the goal for you at this point

I think that I'd pass.

If I'm trading away an elite player -- and make no mistake that Adams is absolutely in the top tier -- then I need at least one piece with a proven track record OR faaaar more high-upside pieces than what is being offered.

No offer gives you a proven asset OR a ton of high-upside pieces.

If these are the players and picks involved, then I think that you need four of Ridley, Sutton, Guice, 2019 1st, 2020 1st to make it really worth considering.
