OJ Howard's Value?

Curious what you guys think OJ Howard's value would be in a 12 team, PPR, 2TE league.

I haven't decided if I'm going to shop him in the off season or not but wanted to start gauging value.

I would not shop him around in a two TE. Look at all the injuries that TEs sustain. You need the depth..

Shop him. Shop everyone, but in a 2 TE league he is extremely valuable. Ask for a lot and if your tempted by something do your best to get a TE back in the deal

This is kind of my thought process. Im trying to figure out what fair value you would be so that if i get an offer well above that i can decide to trade him.

Easy Hold in 2TE league. It would cost quite alot to acquire a top 5 TE.

I've never played in a 2TE league but I would assume he is worth a very early 2nd round startup pick? So probably a top 5 RB or top 5 WR?

I'm going to try to clarify because this didnt really go how i had hoped.

I took over a team that was a mess this year and i started to rebuild. (Team in sig) Team lacks top end talent at pretty much all positions except Tight End.

At TE i have Kittle, Henry, and Howard. 3 top 8? Top 10? Dynasty Tight Ends.

On 1 hand I can hold on to them and be set at the position for the next 5 years maybe more.

But on the other i have a lack of talent over all, i like Jonnu Smiths potential and this rookie draft should be full of TE prospects. So if given the opportunity to get value that would help my team i should be prepared to consider it.

I'm just not sure what that value is.

Like I said I've never played in one so its hard to tell but Kittle outscored the 12th best TE by 7 ppg and outscored the 24th best TE on the year by 10ppg. The #3 WR on the year which was Dhop outscored the #12 WR by 4 ppg and the #24 WR by 9ppg. So by that logic Kittle is worth nearly as much as Dhop or any other elite tier WR and that doesn't even tell the whole story. TE24 is averaging 5ppg whereas WR24 is averaging like 11.8ppg so at least you are getting a decent game out of the #24 WR but the #24 TE is practically worthless which makes the elite TE's worth even more.

In my opinion....i don't think you will be able to get cmc or juju straight up for howard. If you are truely rebuilding, pettis+ is an ok start if you like him. I'd rather the picks be earlier. Howard was a top 10 rookie pick 2 years ago...and has looked pretty good even competing with Brate and QB musical chairs. His production has been pretty solid when he is on the field.

All that to say his value must have gone up since rookie draft...and in a 2TE league i would need at least 2 19 1sts or player similarly valued to get things going.

if you can start all 3 TEs, i would keep all 3 unless i was blown away by the offer

Your team needs wr help so I’d put all three te’s on the market and look for wr help with the biggest return possible.
