Yes no brainer, chubb is still most likely a 2nd round startup pick, OBJ is a top 5 overall startup pick.

Chubb is the man in Cleveland who is on the upswing. Seems to have big plays, fairly frequently even when he was not the man. I like OBJ, but he is missing games more frequently. The QB issue in flux in NY. Seems they keep Manning another year and then try a rookie. Top 12 RB is much harder to find than top 10 WR. Nice on the .5PPR. I think you took a hit at RB and didn't elevate WR as much. I know in our league RB's get snapped up in the draft. Some really top WR's fall. Why, cause ELITE RB's get you to the playoffs. I am going against Gurley. Chubb and Mixon hopefully carry me. Chubb got his bonus yesterday. I think you see more of that in '19. I also see him a top 8 RB next year or at least in a tier of that range, with upside. OBJ is a stud, no doubt. I don't blame you for taking the deal. I like Chubb overall for Dynasty. I think he helps me get to the playoffs vs OBJ that helps me win some games. I can cover WR differential easier than RB. Good luck.
QB: Mayfield, Bridgewater, Fitzpatrick
RB:David Johnson, Mixon, Chubb, James Robinson, Mattison, K Vaughn
WR: AJG, K Allen, D Adams, JuJu, C Godwin, D Slayton, S Miller
TE: Engram, Kittle
K: Succup
Def.: Arizona

Champions 2006 and 2018. Second a few times in between, again in 2019.

No PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE) 1K 1 1 Def
Drop 7 ea yr. 20 player roster with up to 2 IR

I really appreciate this last post by frisco86. It really depends on your league. Top RBs are treated like gold in my league, while OBJ has only ever been moved during injuries/potential weed scandals at a discount. OBJ may be more valuable due to the longevity of WRs compared to RBs, but Chubb has looked fantastic and Odell has a lame duck QB for at least another year. That makes this alot closer to me. Dangling an OBJ trade in front of this forum is almost always going to be met with mockery or accept now responses. Just saying.

I understand the temptation of taking the RB over the WR and don't blame anyone for taking a RB over a WR if they are in the same tier. Chubb is at best a top 8-10 RB whereas OBJ is still in discussion as the #1 overall WR along with guys like Dhop. I've made this argument a couple of times about why guys like OBJ/Adams/Dhop/Hill all need to be valued similarly to Gurley/Kamara/Zeke/Barkley/CMC. If you look at the top 10-15 RB's I would argue over half of them are either rookies or 2nd year backs and most of them were pretty easily predictable in rookie drafts, guys like Kamara/Hunt/Kerryon were all late round 1sts that you got immediate production out of, guys like LF/Cook/Mixon/CMC/Chubb/Barkley/Michel were all top 5 rookie picks that you got immediate production. Besides the stalwarts like Gurley/Zeke/Bell it is pretty safe to say that the RB position has a much higher turnover right and much quicker production from rookie picks which are traditionally pretty cheap compared to proven players. WR's on the other hand are much harder to predict and the hit rate in rookie drafts are not nearly as high as RB's. Take a look at the top 10 WR's and pretty much all of them besides Juju and MAYBE Golladay are all in their 3rd year or longer in the NFL and well over half of them have been in the 10 ten for quite some time.

Long story short: guys like OBJ will give you top 5 production for the next 5-6 years and is much safer bet to provide that production over pretty much all the RB;s besides Gurley/Barkley/Zeke Tier and it would be very difficult to replace that top 5-15 production from rookie drafts. However Chubb has a more likely chance of fading from relevance before OBJ does AND it will be much easier to find a top 15 RB with a top 5 rookie pick.

The only thing is... he might actually be better than the 10th best RB. I really do believe he is capable of being a top 3-4 back with Saquan/Gurley/Elliot.

That said, I still take OBJ. He's the better piece.

Chubb is a nice 2 down back but he isn't a top 10 RB to me , If I give up OBJ I want a 3 down back that is going to catch more than 30 passes a year I just don't think Chubb will do that as long as Duke is there and healthy
