Penny vs Lindsay

Postby hockeyBjj » Wed Dec 05, 2018 9:56 am

I have the disappointing 2018 Penny on my bench but I feel he's looked good when given touches. I reached out to the Phillip Lindsay owner about Hunter Henry and a 2nd for him, and he responded he'd be interested in Penny

I like it as I'm going for the ship here and could really use Lindsay's reliable production over my current Cook, Ingram, White at RB 2 and 3

Is this a straight up deal? Should I add anything to Penny to make it happen?

I think Penny can still be productive if/when he becomes the starter in 2019, but as a contender, I'd happily send Penny + 2nd for Lindsay to upgrade my RB2/3 spot.

As a Lindsay owner Im not sure Penny and a 2nd is enough. It would for sure need to be a very early 2nd. If I was contending I would probably add a late 1st to get Lindsay as he has a very favorable playoff schedule (SF,CLE & OAK)

As a Penny owner with a surplus of picks I would move him and a second for Lindsay. ----If I didn't have the surplus of picks I probably wouldn't pull the trigger though, tbh.

Penny hasn't really gotten his fair shot, but has shown great flashes in a few games.

You might need to add to Penny - but if he's out of contention this year, send an offer of straight up as that's who he expressed interest in. It doesn't have to be your final offer...

I like Lindsay a lot but I'd have a hard time adding anything more than a 2nd to Penny for him. Penny was still a 1st round RB and has definitely show flashes with the limited touches he's getting. My main concern is Lindsay is 185 lbs and I could easily see him falling into a timeshare the second he begins to struggle or if Royce Freeman has a really good offseason

Pretty much this but i dont think i could add anything to penny and would not make this deal if i werent needing him now. I beliwvw in penny long term and not really the longevity of lindsay fair or not. Penny a real life 1st and a fantasy first and should get patience from both. Hes got receiving hands to so if he ever gets his full time shot i expect him to do fine.

I think it comes down to does adding Lindsay make you a possible favorite, if you win the championship by giving Penny and a 2nd for Lindsay you won't care that you lost some value long term. Time value of money and all that. If it was close I'd totally give Penny and a 2nd.

I would keep Lindsay who has been crushing it all year, rather than take a gamble on Penny who was overdrafted by the Seahawks and a random 2nd.
