Adam Thielen

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Adam Thielen

I have zero shares, but when ever a player like him goes from having a good season last year (high end wr2 - low end wr1) to stud in one season I always wonder/want to sell high..

Is the only explanation that he now has Cousine or is he a prime case of sell high ?

I think hes going to be a WR1 for another 2 years.

I dont think many people value him highly enough to be able to sell him high. I think people get scared that hes "old"

Julio is old on this board too...

I would hold Thielen if I owned him. I know he doesn't have the flashy name per-say but I see no reason to move him this year. If he dips a bit next year I would move him a year early then a year too late

It was a little concerning to me too that he "broke out" at age 27, but he's shown enough to make me think he can keep this up for another 2-3 years. I don't mind selling high now though if you have enough depth at the position.

he had more than just a good season last year my man, the breakout was during 2016, we are in year 3 of his greatness.

not many dudes get the kinda looks he gets so unless you anticipate that vanishing randomly he is a top WR until further notice and is still on the correct side of age 30.

He had almost 1300 yards last year with shaky QB play, he just didn't get the redzone looks to put him in the true WR1 range. I see no reason why his production should drop off next year with the main offensive pieces remaining. Maybe he sees some regression, but he should still be an every week starter. Sell high if you can, but don't go out and dump him just because you're worried about his late breakout age. He's the real deal

Agreed.

Both receivers on that team are great. Theilen is better now, but Diggs has more potential. Sell at stud prices if you're selling

Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember reading an article from Scott Barret at PFF about endzone targets and he picked out Julio/Evans/Thielen as the candidates that had top 10 endzone looks but produced hardly any Touchdowns and all three were prime candidates to regress back to the mean for the amount of targets they were getting in the endzone. All 3 look to scoring more this year but have been getting similar endzone looks.

Possibly, I don't really know. His low TD numbers could have been a side effect of the subpar QB play or something. I just assumed he wasn't getting the looks. Either way, he's getting the TDs this year and should continue his current trend into next year

In a rebuild best ball league I sold Thielen/Brady for Arob/Kirk/1st

Still don’t love the trade but it was the best I could get
12 Team PPR
QB/2RB/3WR/TE/Flex
QB: Mahomes/Jones
RB: Mixon/Chubb/Mostert/Burkhead/McKinnon
WR: Wilson/JuJu/Marquise/Mooney/Campbell/Dotson/Osborn/Julio/Tolbert/Shakir/Metchie

Yeah I agreed with everything you said just wanted to point out that its not like he necessarily "leveled up" this season or anything, I think the true breakout has been brewing for quite some time. He's here to stay and should be ranked directly below AB at WR7
