Giving Too much to get D Hopkins? (POLL)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Which side of trade do you prefer, 12 team PPR?

DeAndre Hopkins, Zay Jones

Giving Too much to get D Hopkins? (POLL)

Postby bob b » Mon Oct 29, 2018 11:55 am

Looking to create an all-star team for this 6-3 team that should be 9-1. We currently have M Thomas and Mike Evans...Want to add DeAndre Hopkins. We play 3 WR each week. Is it too much to give?..which side would you prefer in the trade?

Thanks for your help (team is in signature)

My team is 0 and 7 right now and I have the same question what is Hopkins value and what should I expect or should I build around him.

Hard to value the top guys.
To many leagues to put all teams on here.

Just a big thanks and DLF rules

There are worse ideas than to build around a Top 5 Dynasty asset. Unless you got an overpay for him, meaning a Top 10 asset and some youth and picks, I wouldn't bother

Thanks, I appreciate it...as an aside, I am forever surprised on this site(and I say that in a mostly positive way) on player values...I have gotten the impression that Cooper and even Robinson to some extent have been overvalued...I have not been a big fan of either but have certainly heard there name being mentioned easily in 1st round pick terms..when adding a back half 1st round pick (which I know is much less desirable than first half) it does add to the overall value..... a trade calculator I saw actually had the Cooper side with higher value (which is a good forum question, "are there any trade calculators that are good??"

But, obviously, when the players are on your roster and you drafted them high, you tend to place way too much value on them even when performance tells you to think otherwise.

Anyway, thanks eveyrone

First, they may be worth 1st round picks, but when you trade for a stud , you need to have a lesser stud in the offer on your end. A bunch of meh players with good value is not getting a stud. Which leads me to....

2nd, trade calculators are garbage.
