Josh Gordon or 2019 1st

Postby whodunnit » Wed Oct 24, 2018 6:33 pm

I was offered a '19 1st *currently would be the 1.06* for Josh Gordon.
Team 2 in sig.

I'm right at 50/50 on this trade, can I get some votes to help me lean one way or the other? *I'm projected right behind the person offering*

My other WRs are Boyd, Davis, Juju, Chark, Crowder, Gallup, Miller, Taylor, Hurns and Callaway
Watson Goff Purdy
Pierce Swift Robinson Conner Patterson
Hill Lamb Pittman Williams Renfrow Samuel
Hockenson Knox Kmet Schultz

If you can bear the risk, I take Gordon. I am not enamored with the '19 draft. JG is just learning the complex offense of NE, yet played 95% of snaps. Brady loves him and is beginning to trust him. Raves about his hands. I am expecting top ten WR after week 10.

The next question is can he make it through the offseason without incident. A #1 is nice vs nothing, duh, right. But if you think NE can keep him in check and be around for 3 years minimum, well then JG is an easy pick. If just this year and part of next, well I likely take #1, unless you are in a championship run this year. If you only get this year and next of JG, then it is a toss up, because all draft picks are toss ups.

I was offered a late 1st (#10-#12 most likely) for JG and I passed...and I am fairly loaded at WR with AJG, Keenan, Adams, and JuJu. Reason why is I think if he makes it through the offseason his value will be much much higher. Is a gamble for sure, but every draft pick is too, especially after the top 3.
QB: Mayfield, Bridgewater, Fitzpatrick
RB:David Johnson, Mixon, Chubb, James Robinson, Mattison, K Vaughn
WR: AJG, K Allen, D Adams, JuJu, C Godwin, D Slayton, S Miller
TE: Engram, Kittle
K: Succup
Def.: Arizona

Champions 2006 and 2018. Second a few times in between, again in 2019.

No PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE) 1K 1 1 Def
Drop 7 ea yr. 20 player roster with up to 2 IR
