Gronk for 2019 1st

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Gronk for 2019 1st

Postby LaDarius » Tue Oct 23, 2018 10:56 am

I have been offered Gronk for a 2019 1st. The pick is likely to be a late first.

I don't particularly need Gronk, but is this pretty good value? Not really sure what his value is right now - he seems like a high-risk asset.

PPR league (not a TE-premium).

Thanks!

Before this season started, I said Gronk was worth around a mid/late 1st. Now, I'd say he's a late 1st at best and I would only pay that if I'm competing and desperate for TE help.

I traded him after game 1 which he put up like 22 points for two 2019 1st + Moncrief, both of them were presumed to be late, but one looks like it my be top 3. I felt like it was light since I wasn't really getting a decent prospect back, but now i feel like I sold at his last high point. With the retirement talk and the up and down games/injuries, I think a 1st is most you'll get for him.

This is tough. I still say he is worth a middle 1st for a contender. I don't think he retires after this year even though everyone else keeps parroting that. Some thought Brady was gonna be retired a year ago, same with Brees, Roethlisberger, and many others that are still out there.

Thanks for all the thoughts so far.

I've edited the original post to add a poll.
