Man that’s tough. It seems like it should be an easy accept but I’m having trouble with it as well.

Conner played very well this week with Bell out and there are no signs of Bell’s holdout coming to an end.

Assuming Conner continues to play well, I could easily see it being a timeshare when/if Bell comes back. I can’t see them totally benching a productive Conner. Not to mention it will take Bell at least a few weeks to get back into playing shape (see last year’s holdout).

Let’s say the Steelers let Bell walk next year for monetary reasons. Conner steps into the full-time work load for the foreseeable future?

Best case scenario (short term and long term) is Conner is the #1 back there. Worst case is he is in a timeshare with Bell (which most teams are committee anyway). I mean I guess worst worst case is Conner craps the bed from week 2 on and is forgotten by next year, but I don’t see it happening.

On the flip side, a late 1st isn’t gonna be a better lottery ticket than Conner currently is, and you are gonna have to take a wait and see approach to the rookie as well.

I think I talked myself into keeping Conner over a late first.

Now if only I could talk myself into trying buy Conner for a late first...

You just got to believe this is a long-term play whatever you get from Connor this year is icing on the cake. He's a local guy from pit they love him and he's shown that he can carry the ball 30-plus times a game. Basically you're gambling that Le'Veon Bell doesn't resign a long-term deal that's it. Even if you think Pittsburgh will bring in someone next year to compete at the end of this season there will be a selling window for Conner before the draft and free agency hits that you can get your first round pick back and more No Doubt.

I am debating whether to come at the Conner owner hard and offer a 2019 1st and second....right now the best thing for us conner buyers is if Bell comes back because it caps his value this year which makes him buyable for a reasonable price but this is absolutely a long term play. What are the chances the Steelers go out and draft an elite RB when Bell leaves? I don't think it's likely and I also don't think there is a chance in hell Bell is in Pitt next year.

I’m not sure really what to think, I know I wouldn’t pay a 1st for him right now but after another good game who knows.

I was just offered a 2019 1st plus Chris Carson for Conner. Does that change anything for you guys? I'm having a tough time deciding.

I would buy Conner for a first round pick in a heartbeat. The only problem is I had him in one league and just traded him and in the other I don't think I'll be able to get him because the Le'Veon Bell owner has him.

Sold Conner for Guice tonight in one league. I prefer Guice's profile long term.
Tried to buy for a mid-first next year and was rejected. I'd pay a mid-late first pretty easily for a contender.
