SF Rookie Draft so far + next pick advice

Postby Han » Tue Aug 21, 2018 8:20 pm

Here is how most of 3 out of 5 rounds have gone. Trying to decide who to go for next. My only other pick is a pretty worthless 5.05 dart throw. List of who I'm thinking below results

1.01 - Saquon Barkley
1.02 - Royce Freeman
1.03 - Rashaad Penny
1.04 - Ronald Jones
1.05 - Baker Mayfield
1.06 - Sony Michel
1.07 - Kerryon Johnson
1.08 - Calvin Ridley
1.09 - Nick Chubb
1.10 - Josh Rosen
1.11 - DJ Moore
1.12 - Derrius Guice
2.01 - Anthony Miller
2.02 - Courtland Sutton
2.03 - Nyheim Hines
2.04 - Christian Kirk
2.05 - Sam Darnold
2.06 - Michael Gallup
2.07 - Lamar Jackson
2.08 - James Washington
2.09 - Jordan Wilkins
2.10 - Josh Allen
2.11 - Roquan Smith
2.12 - Tremaine Edwards
3.01 - Mike Gesicki
3.02 - Geronimo Allison
3.03 - Dante Pettis
3.04 - Dallasa Goedert
3.05 - Kallen Ballage
3.06 - Hayden Hurst
3.07 - Tre'Quan Smith
3.08 - unknown
3.09 - MY PICK

RBs - 3.10 could be Chase Edmonds, Mark Walton, Justin Jackson, John Kelly, 5.05 could be Jaylen Samuels, Josh Adams
WRs - 3.10 could be J'Mon Moore, Keke Coutee, DJ Chark, DaeSean Hamilton, 5.05 could be Trey Quinn, Auden Tate, Equan. St Brown (Ryan Grant and Albert Wilson are also Free Agents and I can draft them now as well)
QBs - 3.10 could be Mason Rudolph, 5.05 could be Kyle Lauletta

Anyone stand out to you all? I could be talked into getting one of the top 4 handcuff RBs, one of the WRs who will probably be pushing to start next year, or loading up on QBs since we just went to Superflex.
QB (1) - A.Rodgers,J.Love,W.Levis,B.Mayfield,Darnold,J.Brisset,Corral
RB (2) - Bijan,Charbonnet,R. Mostert, Zeke, Allgeier,K. Hunt,Hubbard, J.Ford, M. Gaskin
WR (2) - Nuk, M. Evans ,OBJ, T.Thornton, P. Nacua, K Boutte, P. Campbell Zaccheaus,W Fuller, Cobb, T.Patrick
TE (1) - Schultz, Hooper,Kmet,T.Kraft
SFlex (2) - any qb/rb/wr/te

0.25 PPR
12 team league, 37 player rosters + IR, 5 round rookie draft each year.

I think DJ Chark or ESB would be my pick, probably Chark.

Also nice job taking advantage of the Qb's dropping. I like Wilkins but I think you could've gotten him at 3.05 and gone with Pettis at 2.09

Yea I regret not taking Pettis. Tried to trade with the owner and he wants next year's 2nd rd pick for that. I'm thinking of doing that.

I wouldnt, not a Pettis fan at all. He was drafted for special teams. As for your draft both the QB picks were nice steals

You don't trade up in the early 2nd round to take a special teams guy. Kyle Shannahan believes he's a good WR.

When in doubt, take the QB. I'd go Rudolph or John Kelly. Then ESB later one if he's there

Guice at 1.12? Is this what people are seeing in drafts? Seems low to me?

As far as Guice at 1.12, that is probably because we are superflex and 2 QBs were picked in Round 1.

I figured Pettis was drafted to eventually replace Pierre Garcon so 2nd rd is just a tiny bit more than I want to pay for him I think.

Thanks for the when in doubt, go QB. Think I may go for both of them!

I’m still trying to figure out how in a SF Darnold fell to you in the 2nd. I’d throw the dart at ESB with ARod that may pay off.

Actually you do, Devin Hester was drafted in the 2nd round as well purely based on his special teams ability.

Same, I thought there was going to be a run on them all in the 1st rd and shocked I had the pick of the litter. Maybe that will happen next year once others see how SF works.
