This is close to 50/50 but I think Wilkins offers more immeditate value upside. He has a shot, albeit small, of becoming a starter. Ballage does not have that opportunity.

Wilkins will be the lead back for the Colts sometime this season..... I've been saying that since May..... but he's not the long-term answer for this team. The only reason I'd draft Wilkins is so that I can trade him for a future 1st rounder to some desperate owner. I own him in 3 leagues and this is the only reason why.

Ballage has the ability to eventually win the starting job and run away with it (pun intended). He's going to be a stud in this league. He has a similar skill set to David Johnson. The only thing in his way is Kenyon Drake, who is not built to carry the load fully. If Kalen gets his shot to start, it's all over.

Take Wilkins IF AND ONLY IF you want to be able to trade him away when he finally wins the starting job. Take Ballage if you want the better player. Hell, you could probably take Wilkins now, and then trade him in week 3 or 4 for Ballage (who should still be a backup by then) and a 2nd round pick. Talk about a deal.

I’d take Ballage but I think Hines will lead the Colts backfield in PPR fantasy points.

Ballage for his upside. I love both guys at that spot, and think wilkins will be the guy in Indy, but Ballage has 3 down back potential

Only if Mack gets hurt. Which is possible, he got knicked up already. Mack is by far the most talented back on this team, but I can see the Colts adding next year. Wilkins did nothing in college until his final season, when he was 23 years old, and he is now a 24 year old rookie. I don't see it against NFL starters. Mack showed explosive playmaking ability last year, and did again in pre-season game 1. He needs to stay healthy, but on a team that has no explosive playmakers outside of TY, I see Mack leaning that backfield in carries/touches, provided he is healthy. I don't see the upside for Wilkins. It's either Marlon Mack hits this year, or the Colts look to the draft/FA next year. As you said, though, IF Wilkins gets the starting job, you need to sell.

I ended up taking Wilkins at 3.01 and then trading up to 3.03 and taking Ballage there.

Nice! Depending what you had to give up for the 3.03 I like the fact you got them both. If Ballage can figure thinfs out he has a lot of upside

Did you switch the 2 and the 1 around? Guice should not have made it past 1.04 at very worst.
