Understanding the risks with Callaway, would you guys drop Pettis to pick him up off waivers? Our roster is limited to 8 WR's so in order to pick him up i have to drop one.
Valdez Scantling, Keelan Cole, Taywan Taylor, and Tyrell Williams are some other WW adds that are intriguing.

I would drop Meredith before Pettis, you are pretty well set at WR, and we know what Meredith is, and Pettis and Callaway have higher ceilings.

Interesting. I am surprised most are ready to give up on a guy that quick who posted close to 1,000 yards in really his only season as a consistent player. Being the number 2 in New Orleans seems to be a really good fit that could be pretty relevant.

It's not an ideal cut, and I'm not "giving up" on him, but considering your roster and league settings that would be the guy I cut if I had to. He's a solid player, but he's never starting for you unless something really bad happens, and quite frankly he's nothing special. Pettis and/or Callaway are talented young players that could develop into starters or more likely solid trade assets for you.

Why is your league limited to 8 WRs per roster? Assuming 12 teams that means less than 100 WRs can be rostered - and definitely puts the hurt on rebuilding teams. Are there limits for all positions or just WR?

Honestly, it was an oversight and automatic setting on ESPN limiting numbers at each position and instead of just changing and letting those who jump first have a field day, i was going to wait until waivers started in the first week of the season to do away with the limits. That way there is some order. LOL There were limits on all positions.
