Should I hold Jonnu?

Team 1 in Sig.

I've been holding a roster spot for Jonnu, but not sure I really need to be. Only 21 man rosters and the waiver wire has options like Clay, Ebron, Hooper, Watson, Seals-Jones, Everett, Butt, Jarwin, Goedert...
Seems like I shouldn't be holding him just because I own Walker. Not even sure I need to have ASJ on the roster.
What are your guys thoughts? I'm interested in picking up some potential before the season starts. Other guys out there on my watch list:

Richardson, Pryor, Riddick, Yeldon, Keelan Cole, Tre'Quan, Boston Scott, DeaSean H, Rod Smith.

Are my bench TE's just taking up space?

I think he is worth holding onto because walker is old and you know that you're covered in case of injury. The waiver tight ends are weak. I would drop ASJ and get smith from NO as well though.

I'd drop him for Smith on the waiver and if walker gets hurt you can always pick him back up.

Cut him and pick up Butt and Goedert if you can fit both. I like Jonnu, but like them both more.

I have him on a few teams. With the short roster I would not wait on him with some of the waiver options.

I'd look to get Goedert dropping ASJ or Jonnu

Lobby to increase roster size in your league and to add taxi. That is way too much good talent sitting on waivers.

As far as who to add. Ebron was TE11 last year and is going to basically play as the big slot guy in an Andrew Luck led offense. Easy choice. If you hate Ebron and chase the youth, Goedert seems like an awesome long term investment.

Jonnu is a very fun prospect, I roster him in my league with 28 total roster spots...but Goedert has the draft pedigree and seems like the superior talent in the superior offense long term.

With Walker and Henry, you do not need Jonnu and can deploy that roster spot on a player with higher upside.

I'd drop him, Edmonds, and probably even Garcon (if you can't trade him) for some of the guys available.

Big Jonnu fan, but if your total rosters are at 21, I think you should be only holding 2-3 TEs. I might consider dropping ASJ if I am you, since you own Delanie Walker, as if DW goes down Jonnu becomes a starter.

With 21 man rosters, it's doubtful you would start Jonnu this season on your TE bye week unless an injury happens to Walker. I have him as well - but if everything stays status quo - he's getting dropped on roster cutdown day. Walker just extended his contract so the wait might be two more years. this is eerily similar to the Gates / L. Green situation where the veteran held on for far longer than expected.

In short... move on.
