Gronk trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Gronk trade

Postby bot » Sun Jul 29, 2018 8:00 am

For team in sig. Owner is interested in my Gronk. He offered Chubb and his 2020 1st for Gronk and Crowder. I told him I need a pretty strong package to move Gronk as a contending team. I was thinking of countering Gronk and Crowder for Chubb, Kerryon Johnson and his 2020 1st.

My thoughts are that if I can get a lot of young RBs I can trade one or two that hopefully emerge this year for assets in season or next offseason and then start to accumulate 2020 picks to draft more RBs then. I have tried to get an elite RB to pair with Barkley to no avail so was hoping to add a bunch of depth and stream the hot hand weekly.

Thoughts?

Gronk market is tough right now - nothing really positive for a few months - bad blood in NE, retirement, etc

give him a couple of weeks of TE1 numbers and the market will heat back up to better value and offers

Yeah a lot depends on the market, and whether or not you could get more later in the season. Looking at your roster it does not seem you like you'd need Chubb/pick side more than Gronk, so it looks more like a 'luxury' deal than a 'deal for need', and in those cases it is not uncalled for to want more incentive to move the player in question.

However if you're high on Chubb, and think the 2020 pick could be top half or better, it isnt a bad deal.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

I would have taken the initial offer, but if he goes for your counter, take it quick.
