The thing is, he never even said which side he thought was getting fleeced. Maybe he thought Keenan & MG was a huge overpay for Barkley & Thielen. We may never know. Ever since he literally lost his mind, he only appears capable of vague, two-word posts.

** I mean no offense to OP, this is just a blanket statement **

But all rants like this are short sighted and stupid. The difference in player values is the ONLY reason that trades are possible in the first place.

There are huge risk rewards with any trade involving youth or upside players, and nearly every single trade that my league mates have complained about have ended up being pretty close to even in the long run, or more often then not favor the side that everyone thought was getting fleeced.

Worry about your team, let everyone else worry about theirs.

We finally know! It was the Barkley side (well maybe, kind of convenient he comes back after Theilen has blown up to say that was the side who clearly won.)

MGIII has been a beast though and Keenan is having a fine year minus the negative TD regression. Trade still isn't near to outrageous and probably needs more time to determine a clear winner as Barkely will lose passing volume when the Giants find an NFL QB and Keenan is due for some positive Regression.

yeah it went the Thielen side but lets be real here is there still that huge of a difference
IMO not a huge difference between Bark and Gordon, same with Thielen and Allen to me. Throw a first onto the MG Allen side and it's pretty even to me.

Well you never did post any kind of clarification as to which side you actually thought won this trade. So you could have bumped this thread either way. imagine if this discussion were not involving all four players and simply Keenan Allen and thielen... How exactly would the voting have gone? Most likely very heavily on the side of Keenan Allen. And then keeping things in context Melvin Gordon is actually playing better than Barkley.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

I’m not saying it’s a terrible trade now. Sure I overreacted but I’m just trying to show that at least for right now, the guy with thielen and Barkley won.

Who won a trade multiple months after the fact is not a good way to judge a trade lol...
If I trade DT and a 2nd for Manny Sanders in preseason it was a bad trade even though I won now

It’s actually the best way to judge a trade. Ultimately, what a bunch of strangers on a message board think about a trade right after it happpens is pretty irrelevant. What matters is whether or not it makes your team better, which can’t be quantifiably judged until at least several months down the road.

That said, even if this trade happened now, the OP’s overreaction would still be ridiculous.
