DJ+ for Adams/ M Gordon

Postby tjd67 » Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:15 am

I have another owner trying to get David Johnson from me and he knows I want Adams. Here's his offer:
I give: DJ and 2019 first
He gives: Adams and M Gordon

Any thoughts? Should I just hold what I have?

QB: Brady, Wentz
RB: DJ, Barkley, Ingram, Hyde, Crowell, CJA, Mack
WR: AB, Arob Cooks, Funchess, JGordon, R. Woods, JMatt, Garçon, GAllison, J. Moore, St. Brown, C Wilson
TE: Engram, Olsen, Burton

1st is kinda much, if its surely super late then its ok i guess but dang dude adams hasnt even hit 1k! we all expect the best but will we get it?

thing is though i think gordon is in for massive volume again so i dont think the drop to him from dj is gonna be all that severe, if adams gets like 1200-1400 like we expect and maintains that 8-12 td range then i think this is firmly on the adams/gordon side. the first needs to be for sure 11/12th overall though for me to feel ok about sending a first with DJ.

by the looks of your team, I would say that first would be late. I think it is fair and I would take the adams/gordon side
9(yes 9) team / 28 man rosters
15/17/19/21 Champ
SF/PPR
QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/flex/SF
Mahomes/TLAW/Fields
N. Harris/J. Williams/Gibbs/CEH/A. Jones/Hubbard/Haskins/Ingram
Kupp/Jefferson/Chase/Lamb/Hopkins/MT/Watson/Dotson/
Kelce/Hurst

I'm very surprised at the results so far. This is easily Adams and M. Gordon. Adams is the WR1 for Aaron Rodgers and M. Gordon, while inefficient, is still a perennial RB1. Yes there are risks involved with them but DJ is just as risky.. How is he going to perform when teams are stacking the box against him? He doesn't have the benefit of that vertical offense that keeps the secondary away from the box anymore. Plus he'll have a rookie QB running the offense and is coming off of an injury into a brand new offense.
12 Team. Roster 22, 4 TS. PPR, TE Prem (1.75). Start 1 QB, 5 flex (2 RB Max), 1 Def, 1 K
QB P. Mahomes, J. Goff, B Zappe (TS)
RB S. Barkley, N. Chubb, R. Stevenson, T. Pollard, J. Cook, K. Herbert, A. Mattison, E. Mitchell
WR AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, C. Kupp, A. Cooper, D. Hopkins, DJ Moore, B. Aiyuk, R. Doubs, K. Boutte (TS), C. Tillman (TS), M. Wilson (TS)
TE M. Andrews
Def Patriots, Ravens

I'm with you on the Adams/Gordon side but DJ has no worries at all....He's going to be good for 275+ carries and 80+ receptions. Volume alone guarantees him a successful fantasy season and DJ is arguably the best RB in the NFL right now as the complete package, he's going to be good.

Before anyone else gets their panties in a wad I'm not saying DJ is the best in the NFL but he is absolutely in the discussion along with Bell/Gurley/Zeke

Looks pretty even to me since that 1st should be late. If you think Adams and Gordon help your team more, I'd make that trade.
