Respectable Zeke offer

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Respectable Zeke offer

Postby Norrin_radd » Tue Jun 12, 2018 2:18 pm

Trying to figure out what a respectable offer for zeke would be from team in sig.

Is Freeman, Crowell, AJ, another mid-level wr, brate for zeke, rojo, ridley way off?

The guy with Zeke inherited a dumpster fire. All the players from me would start for him.

I want to get a stud RB I can rely on every week

In a vacuum, that should be enough.

Disagree, I think it's way off. Zeke is a top-four asset in non-superflex leagues. Zeke > Freeman + AJ, RoJo + Ridley > Crowell, Brate, mid-level WR (of course, it depends what you think of as mid-level. If mid-level means a WR2 type, it's closer).

Would probably be enough for Zeke, but not with the other guys thrown in on Zeke's side as well.

He defininetly shouldn't accept. If a trash team is what he inherited, then those are the exact pieces he'd want to hang on too. In a rebuild or win now, freeman crowell and AJ aren't going to win you any pie eating contests in a 10 team league.

If you offered Freeman, Guice, and Diggs for only Zeke that would be a more serious offer.

Freeman and AJG for Zeke might get it done, definitely not with Ridley and RoJo added though. Adding Crowell, Brate and a mid level WR for RoJo and Ridley just doesn't add up. If his team is a true dumpster fire it will take him 3+ years to rebuild and Freeman and AJG just doesn't make sense for his team. I would be asking for Guice, Juju or Davis plus future picks for Zeke and not selling my youngest assets for older players. I think that would be a win for both sides as you can definitely afford to pay the price for Zeke and it would give him young assets to build around. Having Zeke, Saquon and Cook along with the rest of your roster...geez, good luck to the rest of the league.

I was on board till I saw Rojo and Ridley added on. Even with adding another piece I wouldn't accept that. I would say send Freeman and AJG for Zek and see what happens. With your depth I'd probably add Brate to that as well. He still might not take it, doesn't really build him for the future

It's a decent start but will likely be declined. You need to give up a sure fire stud and then some.

Freeman is stuck in a time share for at least one more year, plus the concussions are becoming worrisome. Crowell is Crowell. Green is getting older. And whatever throw in you add won't carry much value compared to Zeke. I doubt anyone would part with Zeke for that much risk. It's worth a shot though

Terrible offer, plus you're probably taking 3 starters from him as well.

You have almost the entire 1st round of a startup on your roster, I don't think a trade is necessary.

That is a terrible offer on your part. Especially to a rebuilding team. Why would a guy with a dumpster fire for a team want to get older and less talented? From the looks of your team I guess people in your league take trades like that? You should point them here. Leagues are much more fun when owners know what they are doing and it's actually a challenge.

If you're serious offer him young pieces that he can use in the future..

Mariota, Diggs, Davis, Howard for Zeke would probably get it done. Improves your starting lineup and gives him pieces to build around.

Not really. Not even close. Zeke for Freeman, Crowell and AJG and another mid tier WR alone is a decline for me, so Getting 2 other first rounders in this years rookie draft and Brate is downright insulting. That guy should be holding on to Zeke with a vice grip, if it's a dumpster fire. It's his only ticket out of town. The OP's offer is a very poor one.

So Freeman (mid first) Crowell (mid 2nd) AJG(mid first) Brate (3rd?) and another mid tier WR (2nd?)

2 mid firsts, 2 seconds and a 3rd for Elliott, and two top ten rookie picks?

This is how you eliminate a trade partner from your league pretty quickly.

To answer the OP. YES, IT IS WAY OFF.

You also need to be empathetic. Why would he want AJG? Guys inhereting orphans that need to rebuild don't want AJG,Crowell etc. They want Elliott, Ridley, Jones. Young talented players. You're trying to pawn off guys that have peaked for guys that are either in their prime or up and comers, which is specifically want he needs/wants. It's a thoughtless offer, and if I received it, I would immediately put you on alert as a guy trying to pillage my team.

You have a ton of young talented QB's in a 2 QB league, maybe try offering one of them as part of a deal to entice him. If he's in rebuild, Mariota, Mahomes or Jimmy G will be good building blocks with longevity he can try and build around in a 2 QB LEAGUE. Try and make a deal that can work for both teams, the one you are suggesting is downright ugly.
