Rookie Draft Advice Needed for 1.07

Postby Yung Don » Wed Jun 06, 2018 11:29 am

Hey everyone, our league's rookie draft is coming up on Saturday and I just wanted to get some feedback on my strategy before the big day. I have the 1.07, and am having some second thoughts on who I'm going to pick. My team is in the signature below.
Due to knowing the other league members very well I am almost certain the draft will start like this:
1.01 Saquon Barkley
1.02 Darius Guice
1.03 Sony Michel
1.04 Rashaad Penny
1.05 ?
1.06 ?
1.07 ME

I feel like with my team below, I should take any of those 4 players first if they happen to fall to 1.07. If the draft goes exactly like listed above, here is my ranking of players I should take at 1.07:
DJ Moore
Ronald Jones
Calvin Ridley
Nick Chubb

I think I would take DJ Moore over RoJo and Chubb because I feel like I could use a WR more than a RB, and I honestly don't like the idea of taking Chubb since I already have Duke Johnson and Carlos Hyde. If DJ Moore is gone, I think I would go Rojo at 1.07, but am also considering Ridley as well.

Anyone think I'm crazy here? I hear Ridley at 1.07 might be a bit early but I like his outlook. Thank for any advice or replies!!!

I'd move Chubb to the top of your rankings. If you prefer a WR, I can see maybe taking Moore ahead of him, but I'd definitely take Chubb over Jones and Ridley.

Thanks for all of the comments folks. So am I missing something with Chubb here? Out of the consensus top 8 players, he is the least one I'm excited about. Don't you think it would be annoying to have all 3 browns RBs?

Maybe for this year, but I am guessing that if Chubb lives unto expectations at least one of DJ and/or Hyde will be elsewhere, and hopefully maximizing your RB corps.

Me too. Always go BPA in these things, and if you don't want the Browns backfield, trade the others.
