1.1 trade and subsequent moves

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.1 trade and subsequent moves

Postby R2D2 » Wed Jun 06, 2018 9:06 am

12 teams standard PPR, offense only lineup with positional restrictions: QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K, DEF

QB (4): Mariota, Flacco
RB (6) : Gurley, McCaffrey, Ingram, Hyde, Powell, MDavis
WR (8): Julio, ACooper, Diggs, Juju, JGordon, MGoodwin, DWestbrook, Taywan Taylor, Enunwa, Caroo
TE (3): Graham, Njoku, Jonnu
K (3): Butker, Succup
DEF (3): Vikings, Lions

1) I was offered 1.1 FOR Cooper + Juju

While the trade feels like value, it deeply impacts my WR depth leaving me with aging Julio, unpredictable Josh Gordon, Diggs and unproven WR depth. Also high on Amari and Juju. If I don't trade, I wonder if I might be left with unpredictable production past Gurley this year.

Am I overthinking this?If I trade, should I trade away one of McCaffrey/Ingram/Hyde to get a WR back?

2) Which of my backup WRs would you feel comfortable cutting away? I need to cut about 4 (after trade) or 6 (without trade) players.

Such an easy accept!! My lord, that’s cheap for Barkley. Move CMac for a WR after, if ya want

I'd rather have the WRs. I realize this might be "good value" based on other 1.01 offers, but I wouldn't pay that for Barkley or any other rookie.

Thanks for the advice. I offered yesterday and the partner accepted today.

I agree that the trade appears good value, but I was not sure about giving up WR depth. I made the decision based on it's easier to acquire non-elite WR than a potentially elite RB.

I likely need to cut two of MGoodwin, DWestbrook, Taywan Taylor, Enunwa, Caroo. Caroo is probably the easiest cut. Who else would you cut from Goodwin, Westbrook, Taiwan Taylor and Enunwa?

Also, which RB from McCaffrey/Ingram/Hyde would you trade for a WR? And what value do you expect each of them to have? I suspect Hyde has literally very little value unless he surprises during the season.

Good trade for you.

Cut Westbrook.

Mac is the only RB that will have any real value. Try to move him for an Allen Robinson type.
