Best TE Stash

Postby dlf_ericd » Thu Dec 23, 2010 3:29 pm

I am interested in who everyone thinks would be the best TE to stash for a couple of years down the road...I am looking for a high-upside, but good 'floor' TE that may be on the fringe of dynasty rosters, depending on size.

Hernandez and Gronkowski will not be on the fringe of making owners rosters. Jimmy Graham shouldn´t eitehr.. but he´s closer to it than the other two guys.. and he has ultra high upside imo!
24 roster spots - 1QB,2RB,3WR,1TE,1Flex

QB: Herbert,Minshew
RB: Breece,Walker,Taylor,BRobinson,Allgeier,Spiller
WR:Jefferson,Lamb,DJMoore,QJohnston,Jameson,MMims, T.Marshall,Shakir,Gallup
TE: Andrews,Conklin

2024 picks: 1.11, 2.10, 4.01, 4.05, 4.07, 4.11

Agreed. Most know about Hernandez and Gronkowski, but i don't like how they can drop zero's in that O. The big stash for me is Jimmy Graham. Shockey is set to make 4 million plus next year and doesn't look like he used to. Graham has given us a glimpse of what could be if he progresses, and that's a stud #1 TE. NO spreads the ball around, but given he can become a primary rezone target, I'll take him over all.

Yeah, I probably phrased that wrong, especially since all of them except Cook are on rosters in my league...looking for the best prospects to keep or acquire cheaply. Thanks for the input.

If I owned all six of these players, but could only keep one, I'd keep Graham.

btw, oops, I accidentally voted Hernandez, but I meant Graham.

I'm still holding out hope for Cook, but he belongs on the waivers for now.

I prefer Hernandez's upside, and think he will turn into a favorite of Tom Brady, I'd target him

Out of the group you mentioned, I absolutely LOVE Jimmy Graham. If you can find space, I would grab Cook off the waiver wire before the end of this season as it looks like Scaife will not be back in Tennessee next year.
Start: 2 QB, 3 RB, 5 WR, 2 TE (All TDs=6, 1 per 10 rush/rec, 1 per 25 pass, NO PPR) 8 teams
QB: Rodgers, Vick, Cutler, Schaub, Luck
RB: Rice, CJ, McFadden, Richardson, Stewart, Ingram, Spiller, Vereen
WR: Green, Marshall, Roddy, Jennings, Roddy, Bowe, Maclin, Britt, A Brown, Williams (TB), Collie, Smith (STL)
TE: Graham, Finley, F Davis, Cook
Taxi Squad: Tebow, Crabtree, Jeffrey, Hill, Gordon

I like Graham and his situation. I drafted him in the GDF3 rookie/FA draft, which is heavily watered down due to our college drafts, but I took in round 1 among the E.Sanders and D.Washington (LB) types.

The only reason I didn't include Gresham is because of the price tag that's on him...

I can't see a Graham or Hernandez owner giving them up for peanuts either. I think "stash" might be the wrong term for these guys.

That said, my vote goes to Graham

I have Gates in his last year of his contract, so I have acquired Jimmy Graham for 2 years and Jared Cook for 2 years. Looking like I might get away with losing Gates next year. Graham has huge upside.

Graham hands down right now. In that offense with that QB
