I would personally like to thank....

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I would personally like to thank....

Postby pntgvn2399 » Mon Dec 13, 2010 12:02 pm

the players in three of my leagues that absolutely tanked and knocked me out in the first round of the playoffs as the #3 seed in each.. How bad does it suck to make the playoffs in every single league and get knocked out in all three the very first week (I had a bye in my one other league thank god).. So here is who I would like to thank and listed them per league.. Sorry I may rant just a little bit haha

NON PPR- Redraft (Average points per week for the season 108.2... This week 60.5)
Michael Vick- Definitely not his fault
Chris Ivory- Gets injured in the 1st half (lost Gore and Deangleo Williams this year)
Marshawn Lynch- When you lose all of your RB's the pickings get slim
Dwayne Bowe- .3? REALLY??? 0.3 points?
Calvin Johnson- 5.7 points wooo whoooo
Ben Watson/Antonio Gates - Thank you Gates for not being there when I really needed you and thanks to Watson for doing um nothing

PPR IDP (Average points per week for the season 208.9... This week 124.6)
Drew Brees- Not his fault
Peyton Hillis- Being a total points league can't fault him too much
Legarrete Blount- Didn't like this play but everyone said it would be a HUGE week, yep 4.8 points huge
Calvin Johnson- One catch pretty much sums this up
Dwayne Bowe- Oh look one more catch we now up to 2 for my WR's
Mike Williams TB- ANOTHER catch, make that a whopping 3 total catches for WR's
Ben Watson- No Gates, no problem.. He just stayed with the trend, thanks Watson (3 WR's and 1 TE and a combined total of 4 catches)

PPR IDP (1st year league and injuries KILLED me, still averaged 187.4 and this week 118.4 but I still have Rice to go)
Jon Kitna
Jonathan Stewart- At least starting to come on a little late
Ray Rice- Need about 300 yards rushing, 5 TDs, and about 25 catches for another 200 yards to win
Michael Crabtree- One catch one yard 1.1 points lol
Mike Williams AGAIN- One catch for 15 yards wooo whoooo..
Greg Jennings- 9.2 points nice work, all three of my WR's combined were outscored by my lowest scoring LB
Ben Watson- Jermichael Finley out for the year, Antonio Gates out for the game, not many options for me here thanks for the catch

Here is the real kicker, 18 RB/WR/TE in my 3 leagues that were stared and I got a COMBINED ZERO TD's from them.. ZERO lol

Rough week. It was an odd weak, with many low scoring and/or lopsided games. It seems like a bunch of "stud" fantasy players put up stinkers. The scores in all of my fantasy leagues were lower than usual. I lost both of my playoff games, with only 1 player on each team scoring TDs (QBs included), and both teams scoring well below their average.
Year 2 | 12 team | Standard | .5 PPR | rtrn yrds | 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K, 2 each IDP (big play)

Q: Stafford, Ben, Locker, Kaep
R: Run DMC, Mathews, JStew, M. Bush, D. Wilson, Jennings, D. Scott, Tanner
W: Mega, Fitz, Nicks, Julio, Rice, Meachem, D. Baldwin, Sanu, M. Jones, G. ChildsBriscoe
T: Gates, Allen, Moeaki
K: Janikowski
DL: JPP, C. Johnson
LB: Willis, Hali, Bishop
DB: J. McCourty, Chancellor

I fell into the Croyle,Gates,Blount, and Watson traps as well. Somehow my opponents managed to do worse, as I won all 8 matchups this week. Was already out of the playoffs in 2 others, and had a bye in yet another.

I just needed Mario Manningham to score 8 points in order for an opponent to lose and he was injured in the first quarter last night and never came back...sucks.

Overall, I think it was Ray Rice's decent, but lower than expected season that did it in that league.

Rice is the biggest reason I lost in the first round of the playoffs in one league. Thought I had a good team too.
Rivers - 1 TD vs OAK
CJ2K - 53 yd's vs JAC
R.Rice - 32 yd's vs PIT
D.Williams - IR!
A.Johnson
M.Colston - benched!
S.Johnson - 36 yd's vs MIN
J.Finley/T.Gonzo - 38 yd's vs TB
