Worst team in league, sorta...

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Worst team in league, sorta...

Postby Schroedess26 » Fri Dec 10, 2010 11:20 am

Team is in sig

I am wondering about who to cut and acquire in the last waiver wire. With my season over I can now not worry about fielding a team for the week. I had a chance at winning the division but ended up dropping my second to last game eliminating me from the playoffs which start this week.

Key players in waivers
R Jennings
T Jackson
Fasanio Mia TE
Dreessen
Brandon Gibson
Derek Hagan
Nate Kaeding

I have the #1 pick in the draft next year as well. Thanks for the input.
QB, 2-3 RB, 2-3 WR, 1-2 TE, K, Def

Schuab, Stafford, Cutler
DMac, Grant, Greene, Ivory, R Jennings, Starks
S Johnson, J Jones, M Thomas (Jac), Owens, Plaxico
Finley, Lewis, Tamme
Kaeding
Eagles, Patriots

5 point TDs, PPR, 10 Yards Rushing and Receiving, 25 Yards Passing

If I were you, I'd drop one of your kickers and Edelman and pick up Gibson and Jennings. I' also consider dropping Heap for T. Jackson. Otherwise, I would not have any interest in the other players listed. I'd also be curious to see who else is available.
Year 2 | 12 team | Standard | .5 PPR | rtrn yrds | 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K, 2 each IDP (big play)

tavaris jackson I presume?

find a way to get him on your team, even tho I like your 3 qbs already he will start next year i can lamost guarantee it
QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)
RB -NChubb(CLE)DHenry(TEN)JTaylor(IND)Gurley(ATL)
WR -DHopkins(ARI)ACooper(DAL)CGodwin(TB)OBJ(CLE)
TE - HHenry(SD)DGoeddart(PHI)
K - Zurlien(LAR)Crosby(GB)
Def - ARI DAL
[rookie] Haskins(WAS)DSwift(DET)Jefferson(MIN)MHardman(KC)
7th pick in 2021

Rosters must always be 3qbs 4wrs 4rbs 2tes 2kickers 2dst and protected players don't take up a roster spot, but are only for rookie/2nd-year players that were drafted

Roscoe Parish
Mark Clayton

Otherwise by scoring it's nothing special and would be more to sleeper players for next year really

I am trying to think of players who didn't even start the year cause of injury as well
QB, 2-3 RB, 2-3 WR, 1-2 TE, K, Def

Schuab, Stafford, Cutler
DMac, Grant, Greene, Ivory, R Jennings, Starks
S Johnson, J Jones, M Thomas (Jac), Owens, Plaxico
Finley, Lewis, Tamme
Kaeding
Eagles, Patriots

5 point TDs, PPR, 10 Yards Rushing and Receiving, 25 Yards Passing

Rashad Jennings, Tarvaris Jackson, Brandon Gibson, and Mark Clayton are worth rostering now for future potential, I think - even though the latter two are on the same WR corp.

I think you can safely cut Edelman, Heap, a kicker and a defense. maybe even Owen Daniels.

This is spot on. I also agree with adding Mark Clayton as well, he was listed after this post.

I'd hang onto Daniels, but otherwise this post is spot on. Gibson and Clayton shouldn't be on waivers as it is...

S Johnson, J Jones, M Thomas (Jac), Owens, Plaxico

1) TJax
1) Jennings
2) Gibson

I think the rams are going to address their wr position in the off season and I really don't see Gibson having a long term impact. TJax will likely start and may end up having some trade value and Jennings has looked pretty good with his opportunities.

This seems to be a common mentality on this board. With Clayton, Gibson, Alexander, Robinson, Gilyard, and Amendola...this isn't a team with an elite WR but is one of the deepest ones in the NFL. While I think there is an outside possibility that they consider going after VJax, I don't believe WR is a need for this team.

Clayton is coming off an injury, Alexander is a massive question mark that shouldn't be relied on, Robinson can't stay healthy, Gilyard is unproven and can't be a #1 WR in this league. The only sure thing is Amendola and he is a possession guy. They will at least bring in a veteran.

1)Gibson
2)TJax
3)Jennings

I think the chance is there for Gibson to become a solid BYE week fill-in at some point, while I just dont know how much value Tjax will ever have and you already have a solid group of QB's...
