Diggs or M. Gordon

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Diggs or M. Gordon

Postby psfox2010 » Tue Apr 17, 2018 10:27 pm

Melvin Gordon owner has approached me about offering his Gordon for my Diggs. This involves the team in my signature. He's willing to add a little on top of Gordon. Likely Crabtree or a 2019 2nd. My team is ready to win now, so age and longevity isn't my primary focus. I'm looking at the player who maximizes my potential for the next 2 or 3 years. Which player do you think makes my team better?

The league starting requirements are 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 2 flex, so I could start 4 RBs.
10 team, Full PPR, 27 man roster
2018 Champion
QB/2 RB/2 WR/1 TE/2 Flex/Defense/Kicker

QB: Lamar, Allen
RB: Kamara, Henry, Sanders, Barkley (IR), Taylor, Dobbins, Scott, Bowden
WR: Hill, AJ Brown, McLaurin, Lamb, DJ Moore, Beckham, Reagor, Harry, Pittman, Campbell
TE: Kelce, Fant, Hurst
Defense: Colts
Kicker: Zuerlein

2021 Picks: 2nd, 2nd
2022: None

I would take Diggs.

Gordons under 4 yards pr carrie worry me.
If Chargers get a better RB then Gordon looses value. Even just Ekeler is gonna steal some work.

Gordon. If he is willing to add to it, send him a Christmas card. With the flex options, Gordon does more for your starting lineup than Diggs.

I'm worried about Diggs' health week to week and Gordon's role on 3rd downs week to week. Once Ekeler emerged last year, his numbers dipped a good bit. I think Gordon plus the 19 2nd is pretty good value.

I think the two are close, but prefer Gordon straight up. As already mentioned, anything on top is just gravy.
