Buy lows, targets & sleepers

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

FWIW, I just landed M. Williams and DeDe Westbrook for L. Miller and Njoku.
I'd much rather have Njoku/Miller.
Exactly what I was thinking when I read that.

If he didn't miss 5 games due to injury I think we would be paying a pretty penny for him. He is tall, fast, makes amazing catches, young, tied to Stafford and I think he will be a WR 1 in a year or two. Mark it!
Agreed. Golladay isn't the greatest route-runner, but he can be 75% of what Calvin Johnson was on deep routes and 50/50 balls in the red zone, which are the types of throw Stafford excels at. I recently sold Kenyan Drake for Golladay and have high expectations.

Is DJ really a buy low? I don't know how an owner couldn't be asking for his post 2016 season price. He hurt his hand, it's not like he had a devastating knee injury.

The guy that jumps out to me as undervalued is Randall Cobb...He’s had great years with Rodgers before, and with Jordy gone I think he might catch more balls then Adams does...I get that Graham is there but the Packers have always used their TE’s to clear out those underneath routes for the backs and the slot receivers...And Cobb can play both of those positions...

If anything I think Cobb is valued too high. This is a good time to sell him with Jordy gone and ARod healthy. He had one good year and hasn't shown much since.

I just sold Cobb and 2.04 for Njoku in a complete rebuild

Buy Lows - K.Golladay, T.Coleman and K.Dixon
Sleepers - M.Goodwin, W. Fuller and N. Agholor (basically the WR2 on their team with good QBs)

Targets....Maybe R.Cobb, E.Sanders and J.Crowder could fit into both above categories, especially if they have been forgotten about. They would be the ones to target!

"Buy-low" is all relative. I think 1.01 >= Johnson and would sell him for 1.01 straight up, so an owner could "buy low" from me if he thinks Johnson is worth 1.01+.

I tried to pick some uncommon targets that could end up being solid under the radar pick ups and trades that don't carry as much of the hype as the Mixon/Ross/McKinnon type but can be had for significantly cheaper (in most cases).

Jordan Reed if you can get him cheap. He will likely only play half the year because he is perpetually injured, but he is an elite, week-winning TE when he is on the field. Also he now has Alex Smith throwing to him (king of the TE dump off). I wouldn't overpay for him but if you have a frustrated owner, it may be worth trying. Also, Vernon Davis for the same reasons (he'll play the half of the year that Reed is out). VD you can get for nothing as a throw in or maybe even on waivers if it's a shallow league.

Shaheen is a buy and hold. With Burton hype he's near free. I don't think Burton is elite by any means and he's getting older. TEs usually take 3 years to fulfill value anyway.

Marvin Jones was a top 12 WR last year and gets no respect. You may be able to nab him for a late-first, high-second.

Digging real deep, i'd take a flyer on Spencer Ware if he's available on waivers or as a toss in player. He was pretty darn good in KC before the injury and Hunt fell off after his huge start. This could be closer to a 60/40 (40 for ware) then people are thinking. There's a good chance they run more to make things easier for Mahommes. I think he can be at least a decent flex. If Hunt gets hurt, he can easily become their 3 down back again.

Ivory can be bought for nothing and would be the defacto 3-down back should McCoy get hurt (assuming they don't draft someone). He has shown he can put up good numbers in the past

Moncrief is on a prove it deal and plays to Bortles strengths, he's not a bad lottery ticket. Two years ago he had 100 yards or a TD in every game he and Luck played together. Bortles isn't Luck (not close) but he can get the ball to a receiver with reliable hands if he gets time to throw. With defenses selling out to stop Fournette, Moncrief is set up to be a potent deep threat.

Garcon missed the Garappolo games last year with injury. He could be a sneaky play for a good consistent WR2/Flex with opportunity for WR1 weeks.

Thielen fits the Crowder role for Cousins in MIN. I think he maintains wr2/flex value at least. His price may be too high after last season though.

Crabtree is the number 1 WR in Baltimore and put up held his own against Cooper in Oakland. John Brown is also there now and could be a good pickup too if he has the sickle cell figured out. Both of these players seemed to be viewed poorly in the fantasy community but have the talent and opportunity to put up good numbers.

While were on the Ravens, Ryan Grant actually does have sneaky good talent and could do well now that he is finally "healthy" after his sick day in Baltimore. He could easily take the number 2 in Indy with Luck throwing to him.

With the Kamara hype if you can buy Ingram for a bit cheaper, I'd jump all over that. I think Kamara sees his numbers dip quite a bit this year (his numbers were to good to keep up consistently, and even with those numbers Ingram was a top 6 RB) Ingram puts up consistent great numbers gets TDs, catches passes, can play all three downs (can pass block) and is an unrestricted FA in 2019 and yet because he's not the flashy new guy on his team people are looking to bail. Toss a first-round plus an upside guy with a good name like Garapollo/Mike Williams/Jimmy Graham/Ajayi and I think you could steal him and be very happy.

Doug Baldwin is consistently undervalued and SEA has literally nothing else and will be playing from behind after selling off their defense. He was top 13 last year and top 10 the year before, yet doesn't have the hype of others with his numbers.

Other targets previously mentioned: M. Mitchell/J. Matthews, Njoku, Drake, Hyde (even if Barkley goes there his contract is cheap enough to cut him after year one and have him end up somewhere else).

That's all ...for now
