I wouldn't even draft Chubb at 1.04. 1.Barkley 2. Guice 3. Michel, 4. Penny, 5. Chubb/RoJo. Chubb can't catch any balls so whats his ceiling? Jordan Howard? No Thanks I'll take my chances on another back.
That's what they said about Melvin Gordon. Georgia didn't throw to their backs much.
Georgia never gave him a chance. But what little balls he saw he caught. Can’t say this because he never had a chance!
I have to agree here about Chubb, but we know what Mixon is and he can catch very well as demonstrated by his catch rate in 2017. Right now, I have Mixon over every RB except Barkley in the 18 class.
12 Team - PPR - 29man (2 IR) - 6pt PPTD- 1 QB - 2 RB - 2 WR - 1 Flex - 1 TE

QB: Wentz, Mayfield, Daniel Jones
RB: Chubb, Cook, Aaron Jones, Dobbins, Akers, Kerryon, Mattison
WR: Nuk, Julio, Hill, Adams, Diggs, A.J. Brown, Jeudy, Justin Jefferson, Reagor, Corey Davis, Sterling Shepard, Dante Pettis, Hakeem Butler
TE: Henry, Engram, Goedert, Njoku

I know Georgia doesn't give their backs the opportunity to catch passed but based on watching his and Michel's tape he doesnt profile as a pass catching back, more of a bruiser pure rusher which in real nfl terms is just fine and I think he'll be a great back but for fantasy purposes in ppr leagues I'd rather go with a guy like Michel (and Guice to a lesser extent) who seems like a better natural pass catcher.

I would have voted the pick even at 1.04. I see him as below Guice, Chubb, and Michel. I could even see a decent landing spot bringing someone else up over him in my mind

If Mixon were in this class he'd be he clear #2 after Barkley.

I'm just not a fan of Mixon, so I went 1.03. I'm thinking Guice might fall there in some drafts, if the 1.02 person falls in love with Chubb which I think is happening with some people.

If you really want to move it, wait till you are OTC and see what happens in front of you. Plus the pick will have more value then.

Not a bad ceiling though... #2 in rushing rookie year and #6 in 2017 with rookie qb and stacked boxes every play in a predictable offense... Missed #5 by 2 yards.. I like the ceiling of a top 5 rushing yd producer...

It's a tough call right now, but should be more clear after the nfl draft. If your league drafts before the nfl draft, I would lean mixon only because I know his situation.

Not saying he can't catch passes, justing I doubt teams with feature him in a pass catching role, I see guys like Michel and see a true 3 down back who can catch 60-70 balls a year. Chub is definitely worth a first round pick but I'd put him in that 3rd tier with Rojo and Penny. I think Guice and Michel are tier 2 and obviously Barkley is in his own league.

Not a bad ceiling at all and thats why he's a first round pick. I think he's got a safer floor than most other runningbacks as well but I think Michel and Guice have the potential to be true 3 down workhorses right away and I think penny is a better catcher than Chubb and nearly as good of a runner.

I wonder how many people traded Le'Veon Bell after his rookie year and ended up with Bishop Sankey or Carlos Hyde

I still would take Mixon over Chubb, even over Guice for sure! People are giving up to easily on him! I was defending Chubb earlier based of the face someone said he cant catch but id still take Mixon over him

I was obviously being hyperbolic, I don't think Mixon is Bell, but I am a pretty big Mixon believer. If I give him a pass on his rookie year and compare him to the other guy's in this class in a vacuum, it's pretty easy to pick Mixon over everybody but Barkley.

I don't Hate Chubb but compared to Michel and Guice you gotta think in PPR his upside is less. Everyone can catch and run routes at the combine but that doesn't mean they will be used as such in the NFL. I could see Chubb going to a team that already has a solid 3rd down back like Carolina or Washington and be an incredible NFL player but for Fantasy he'd lose a ton of value.

Sidenote: Mixon is younger than every back being projected to go high in this class not named Barkley, Guice or Jones. Even though he was sharing the ball with Perine, Mixon's final college season was in the ballpark of Barkley's in terms of all purpose yards, yards/touch and TDs. Barkley is obviously on a different level in terms of athleticism, but Barkley is no slouch.
