Thanks for the input. Curious why you have DJ valued higher than Kareem. 4 year age gap seems significant to me in dynasty, but I’d like to hear your take.

While Hunt looked awesome last year, DJs 2016 season was incredible. And while they are 4 years different in age, they surprisingly have similar career workloads. DJ only played a little bit in 2015 and missed this season with a wrist injury (which means he can come back at 100%, unlike knees, ankles, Mcl/acl injuries.

Is you league PPR? I made that assumption when replying. A lot of DJs value is derived from him catching so many passes and nearly 1000 yds receiving. I just don’t think Hunt has that kind of upside. Not a knock on Hunt, its just DJ is such a rare and unique talent.

I also am VERY high on CMC in PPR. Ill admit that I’m a Stanford fan due to familial connections, but CMC is undervalued in my opinion. And even being undervalued, most would still take CMC over 1.05.

No way would I do that. looking back at DJ's numbers in 2016 you know what the lowest game he scored in my PPR league was? 17.3 points. That was the lowest game all year. He scored 5 games over 35 points and 6 over 30. He had 424 total points. That's LT territory. Hunt is a good prospect and I like him as a top 12 back moving forward but DJ should produce a lot more IMO. I also think McCaffrey is close to the same as Hunt in value. Remember Spencer Ware is coming back and he should eat into Hunts workload a bit. On the flipside Jonathan Stewart just left town and while they will surely bring someone else in its likely McCaffrey will get slightly more carries next year

If anything he's overrated, not underrated.

RBs that get all of their value from receiving just don't retain that value or production long term. But it doesn't matter how many times we get slapped in the face with that lesson people just keep making the same mistake.

Which RBs burned you? I’d be willing to bet none of them had 80 receptions on 113 targets. And he’s in an improving situation with Stewart leaving, freeing up 215 touches to spread around that offense. Even if he adds 20% of that, he’s in line for 270 touches.

In a full PPR league CMC has very good value. In .5 he has less. I’d also prefer DJ over Hunt and to me CMC has slightly more value than 1.05. I’d hold
8 team SUPERFLEX, PPR, .2 PPC, 1.5PPR for TEs, 5 point passing TDs, IDP
Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX, 1 SF, 1 K
3DL, 4 LB, 4 DB

QB- Rodgers, Wentz,
RB- DJ, Barkley, Kamara, Cook, Mixon, Jamaal Williams, Aaron Jones, Ekeler, Lindsay, Powell
WR- AB, OBJ, Nuk, Michael Thomas, Adams, Watkins, Josh Gordon, Dante Pettis, Doctson, Tyrell, Josh Reynolds
TE- Zach Ertz, Jordan Reed, Hunter Henry, Shaheen
DL- Watt, Donald, Campbell, Griffen, Graham, Irving
LB- Kuechly, Lee, Kwon, Martinez, Hicks, Eric Kendricks, Edmunds, Preston Brown, Hitchens
DB- Landon Collins, Keanu Neal, Poyer, Hyde, Quin, Cyprien

How much are you willing to be on that? Because uh, a lot of them did. Just a few recent ones off the top of my head (there quite a few more I've listed before).

Theo Riddick 80 catches on 99 targets.
Reggie Bush 88 catches on 121 targets.
Darren Sproles 86 catches on 111 targets.
Danny Woodhead 80 catches on 106 targets.

There are lots of passing down RBs that put together a RB1 season. Very very few of them ever repeated the feat or maintained that kind of production long-term. The very few that did, did so by transationing into a 3-down workhorse, which looks like a pretty big stretch for McCaffrey at this point.

I’d probably move DJ for Hunt and the 1.05, but it’d be close for me. With CMC on the DJ side it’s not really close at all, and I’m not a big fan of CMC. I’d hold.

I’d pass and this is coming from a fan of Hunt. It’s not real far off but I expect DJ to have a big season and CMC is worth more than the 1.05, imo.
