Jay Ajayi value

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Most would probably say somewhere in the second, but I think with another year in the PHI offense, he takes another step forward. He is a really talented back, and anyone who has watched him run can see that. The worry about his knees is a little overblown I think, considering how young he is.

I’m looking to buy a few more shares of him at his current value. He may just be one of those players that is more valuable on your squad than he will ever be in a trade. I’m fine with rostering guys like that.
I agree with all of this. I wouldn't sell for anything less than 1.6 and would prob prefer something more.
If you can buy for a 2nd you should do it all day.

No I don't see why he couldn't put up about 1300 yards rushing if he gets 250 carries and another couple hundred on his catches plus all the goal line carries in a high powered offence always in the red zone , I mean he had 5.8 ypc in philly last year and will have a lot of weak D front next year , Just gotta stay healthy

I’m a believer in Ajayi and if I had good RB depth I’d sell for 1.08+ or higher. But i definitely wouldn't sell for a 2nd. If I could buy for a 2nd I’m all over that.

I would easily take him over a late 1st. RBs going in the late 1st are less proven guys going to muddled situations on mediocre offenses. So why not just take a relatively proven guy in a muddled (though potentially less muddled here soon) situation on a top 5 offense?

Prior to the Super Bowl Ajayi was averaging about 18 touches/game after he picked up the playbook. That's a little less than 300 touches over a 16 game season and that was with Blount in town.

~300 touches and goaline opps on a top 5 offense from a guy who was averaging nearly 5ypc on that team and is still young? I will take that over a late 1st all day.

Wouldn't buy for a 1st. Wouldn't sell for anything less. He's a hold if you got him. I don't think his knee is being overblown. Didn't the Dolphins rest him during the week because of it? TBH, I don't hink he'll ever get the lion's share of carries because of it.

I started with offering Ajayi straight up for 1.07; owner declines. I then offer him for the 1.08, a couple of days later, the owner declines plus writes back that “he has NO interest in Ajayi). I also tried to offer him to the 1.09 owner and he declined. I’ll probably rarely use him on the team that I have him on so I was admittedly selling low because I figured he was around a mid 1st but good luck getting that, unless it’s a die-hard Eagles fan.

He’s very polarizing. If you own him you are holding out that he is lead back and his value moves back into the 1.3-1.5 range and in general unwilling to accept much less. If you are buying you are unwilling to pay anything more than late 1/early 2. I haven’t seen him moved in any of my 18 leagues this offseason.
