Who is the new Kelce in Washington?

Postby Rtreilly81 » Fri Mar 02, 2018 7:43 am

Smith needs a check down and Washington already likes to use the TE. So I’m curious who that guy will be.

Reed is still the best option. But if you're asking who will put up Kelce-like numbers, the answer is no one.

I doubt any of them perform at Kelce's level.
It is clearly Reed if healthy at TE.

However, Kelce did not get fed because he is a TE. He got fed because he is the best receiver on the team.

If Reed is healthy, he will absolutely produce at Kelce's level. But the injuries (not the concussions) have stacked up so much at this point he's about as reliable as Tyler Eifert.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

I think they'll use a high pick on a bellcow type. Perine looked pretty bad.

If you're focusing on TE then it's Reed when he can step on the field, but in the terms of Kelce numbers? Nobody will come close to that individually. It will spread across Reed, Thompson and possibly a little Crowder/FA addition.

Crowder should see the increase. Again not Kelce type numbers but I think Crowder's skill set matches up well with Smith's style.
