Lamar Jackson ?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Lamar Jackson ?

Postby Funky52 » Sun Feb 25, 2018 5:54 pm

What are all of your opinions on Lamar Jackson in superflex? I currently have a need at QB2 and was thinking of picking him with my 1.5 pick this year. I know we don't know where he is going as far as team yet but what are your thoughts on him in general and is 1.5 too early? Thanks!

I like Jackson a lot. It really all depends (as usual) of where he gets drafted. I think 1.5 is too high get draft him. You should be able to get him in the early part of Rd2, unless you hear another owner raving about him. Then you would have to get Jackson before that GM drafts. Good luck.

In a SF I feel like he will be gone by Round 2. The rushing is too tantilozong and someone will bite. I wouldn't take him 1.05 as of now but that's only because I think he will sit this season and you say you need a qb2. My guess is a guy like Rosen starts sooner and is a better target for you.

1.05 is too early. You should be able to nab one of higher rated QB's at that spot. If not, move up to get someone you may like more, or slide back a few spots and take Jackson + change.
All my teams suck. And I'm not in your league.

In a SF, Rosen and Darnold are most likely gone by 1.05. If two QBs go before your 1.05 pick, I'd probably take Jackson.

At 1.05, at a minimum, you will get to choose from two out of Rosen, Darnold, Mayfield, Jackson, or Allen (since Barkley is a lock to go earlier).

Do your research and rank those guys. Take the highest one available at 1.05 if you have a need at QB2 for your team. If Jackson is your highest ranked at that point, take him.

If Jackson gets drafted to a team where he seems like he will start immediately (e.g., The Jets), you'll be lucky if he makes it to 1.05. Rushing QBs seem to always have a sell high window if they start immediately.

Too early for me. I like Barkley, Guice, Rosen, Darnold, and Mayfield as the top five rookies. Obviously landing spot could change some things, but as of right now I value Jackson more in the 1.08-1.12 range.
