Possible Barkley trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Possible Barkley trade

Postby zacharyringer12 » Tue Feb 06, 2018 9:05 am

Hello all, my team plus picks is listed in the signature. Thinking about offering 1.01 and 1.08 for Deandre Hopkins. Other owner only has giovani bernard and jeremy hill at RB, but he also has pick 1.05. Would this be a good trade for me and will the other owner consider accepting it? Thanks

no.

Barkley gives you a powerful 2 rb set. Your WR core is fine, specially using the 1.08 to draft one of the top 3-4 wr

I like it, and it may be hard to turn down for your partner.

I wouldn't hesitate to offer 2, 8, and the 3rds if declined....You never know. Maybe alshon, Bryant, 8 gets it done? I think that's a huge sell high on both alshon and Bryant if he bit.

If I kept the picks and drafted accordingly my RB/WR starters would be Fournette/OBJ/Hilton/Barkley/Jeffrey with Guice, 1.08, and chris thompson as depth. If i did the trade my starters would be Fournette/Hopkins/OBJ/Hilton/Jeffrey with Guice, Chris thompson, and Bryant as backups. So essentially I would be trading some of my depth to improve my starters from Barkley to Hopkins. Hopkins is also a sure thing but Barkley could be just as good or better, but also has the slight potential to bust.

Keep the picks. You need more help at RB than at WR considering your roster, and the 1.08 could be another good depth player, which is quite important in deeper formats.

I like Hopkins more than the picks. In your case, though, I think drafting RBs would help you more.

Didn't notice this part. Changing my answer to Hopkins.

I play in a lot of 1RB leagues. They still win championships. Your WR's are fine, so I'd try to stack the RB's and keep the 1.1.

Hopkins is worth a lot more than that, so if the other owner accepts, consider yourself lucky.
