TE premium

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I've never seen any ADP or ranking data for TE premium, but I only give a very slight increase in value to TEs. Unless the other positions don't get any ppr or it's only .5, I don't think it makes that big of a difference. I think must start 2TEs increase their value a lot more than the extra half point per reception in TE premiums.

I don't think it makes a huge difference either, other than the top tier ones that average a lot of receptions over the ones that are more TD dependent.

What's the scoring bonus for TEs? Assuming it's 1.5 or 2 ppr, that makes me really want a stud TE. I'd pull the trigger on whoever falls to me of Gronk/Ertz/Kelce/Howard/Engram/Njoku, but don't reach.

To me it bumps those guys up about half a round in a startup.

12-team SF, PPR, TE premium, 0.25 PPCarry

QB: Mahomes, Fields, Love
RB: Bijan, ETN, Pollard, Achane, Herbert
WR: Kupp, Hill, Metcalf, Ridley, Jeudy, D.J. M, Burks, Hollywood, Wan'Dale
TE: Kyle Pitts, Goedert

Just apply the bonus points TEs get for receptions to the equivalent of yardage instead. I find that helps me see what a TE is really worth.

For instance in a standard TE premium where TEs get 1.5ppr and everyone else gets 1ppr, Travis Kelce's 83-1038-8 is the same number of points as a WR that gets 83-1453-8.

Basically he gets 41.5 bonus points for the TE premium (83 catches X 0.5 ppr bonus), which is the equivalent of 415 yards.

Last year in my TE premium startup Kelce and Gronk went 2.02 and 2.03, Reed/Henry in the 3rd, Howard/Njoku in the 4th, Engram/Eifert/Ertz/Olsen 5th, and Ebron/Rudolph/Graham in the 6th.

it depends on scoring...i am in a league with TE scoring
WR 1pt ppr
TE 1.5ppr

WR .1pt per yd
TE .15pt per yd

WR .25 pt per target
TE .35 pt per target

so a significant bump to TEs

if only 1 v 1.5 ppr, i would not go crazy, but kelce/gronk worth more than hilton/diggs type
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
Kelce, Andrews, Jacob Harris
