Is Austin Hooper droppable? Or no?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Is Austin Hooper droppable? Or no?

Postby UATahoe » Mon Feb 05, 2018 9:42 am

With ASJ on my roster, I was thinking about dropping Hooper for a guy like Shaheen or Butt. Or should I stick with Hooper? I dropped Chris Godwin last week for Clement in hopes of helping RB depth and that led to me scouting out other potential waiver adds.

Or another option could be dropping Hooper for Darkwa or Barber and hope they hit a starting role next year.

I would drop ASJ before Hooper. Hooper has shown great in his first two years. lot of weapons on that offense, but in a year or two he should eat into those targets and develop into a very nice TE

I don't think any of the RBs are starting backs this year. I'd get Godwin back right away, probably dropping Burkhead or James White (which is going to produce? Nobody knows because it's different every week). I would also drop ASJ before Hooper and Shaheen could be taking over this year in Chicago.

Hold Hooper. And get Godwin back. That was a mistake.

Will do. I may dip ASJ for Shaheen and put Clement back in the wire for Godwin. My roster is just getting really wr stash heavy. Lol

I guess to me Clement has just as much possibility as Godwin. I feel like Clement will be the number 2 back in Philly and the primary 3rd down back. That doesn’t seem bad.

I probably wouldn't drop him for those other TEs, even though I like them. But it typically takes a few years for TEs to produce, so you're just setting yourself back with the rookies after holding one who's been developing on your bench for 3 years. If you do decide to drop him, I'd do it to get Godwin back or at least figure out another way to get Godwin back on your roster.

Seems the consensus is to drop Clement and add Godwin back.

I'd probably drop Jamal Williams over Clement. If anything, Clement will have more trade value during the offseason.

Trade JWilliams to TyMont or AJones owner. It's not looking like he's going to start; rather a lottery pick at this point.
