Mourning the loss of watson

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Mourning the loss of watson

Postby smoger45 » Thu Nov 02, 2017 5:59 pm

So was just so sure I was going to make it to the promised Land and then while I'm watching pregame show I see Watson is done for the year. Currently 7-1 with bad wr. I just picked up bethard and Lynch hoping Lynch gets some starts but guess I'm hoping Eli Manning can keep me in contention.

Savage was seriously picked up as soon as I tried to grab him. Someone dropped mallet for him.

Is McCown available? I picked him up in 1 of the thinner leagues I have watson in. My other 2 I have Car and Bree's respectively but still bummed.

I'm not sure which part of this sentence I find most disturbing... that someone had Mallet on the roster, or that they considered Savage a must-have. Possibly the reason NFL ratings are down is due to the lack of talent at the self-professed single most important position in all of sports.

And with the news of Newton pulling up gimp and having a Q tag, the game I'm playing this week, which during the pre-season was a projected matchup of A.Rodgers vs C.Newton/D.Watson now becomes a clash between B.Osweiler and J.Brissett

Guys hoard in my league. Some guys has 6 for times like this. Usually none have long term value. I'm not selling the farm for Savage, or brisett. One owner has McCown, Carr, Stanton, kizer, etc.

I thought it was strange when someone suddenly picked up Savage in my Superflex only to see the Watson news shortly after. Losing Watson plus the hit Hopkins will take really hurts.
