Mike Evans

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

man i wish evans would start showing why all you people love him more than anyone in the world lol. i would rather have the stud backs right now but long term prob evans. If this makes you a legit title contender for the next 3 seasons i would do it. the point of playing is to try to win...i would rather win 2-3 seasons than have a good wr for 7

You need Evans. Without you have no depth at WR.

Now, if you counter with Evans and a 2nd for Gordon and his WR1, might make more sense.

You do need better RBs.

Being that its a contract league, what is the cap value of gordon and howard? As that'll certainly play into the value of this deal. I think dealing evans for 2 solid players in a 16 team league is decent, but agree with others in that you shouldn't be adding a first to your side.

Piling on with the "1st is on the wrong side" crowd. Those two backs for Evans straight-up would be something I would at least consider, depending on format and such.

Evans owner here, and this trade would give me some pause.

He's definitely going to be a stud for a long time, but I have some questions about his QB situation. While I think Winston is going to be in town along with Evans for many years, I'm not entirely sure that's a good thing. Winston is not exactly known for his accuracy, and now he's starting to get a little dinged up, and Tampa added two other solid young prospects (OJ and Godwin).

Furthermore, while Evans is currently having a fine season (WR7 in my PPR league), he's right in the middle of the second tier of WRs this year (Fitz, Tyreek, Crabtree, Landry, Cooks, Hogan) and he's pretty far away from the two elite guys (Brown and Hopkins). Conversely, both Gordon (RB5) and Howard (RB8) are also producing at a high level. If you are a contender and value getting a title, then having the extra production now and maybe 1-2 more years after that might be more valuable than having Evans for 6-8 more years.

All that aside, the extra 1st is the deal-breaker for me, unless it's absolutely guaranteed to be in the bottom third of the round.
