Waiver Pickup - week 6

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Waiver Pickup - week 6

Postby The Pyrate » Wed Oct 11, 2017 11:51 am

Team in sig below.

Brandon Marshall is done. I'm not going to hang onto him or bring him back next year. But who should I get to help my team?

These are my waiver options:
  • D.Williams
    M.Floyd
    P.Dorsett
    C.Patterson
    W.Smallwood
J.Gordon (dare I include him as a flyer?)
S.Ware (I have space I can IR players)
Who would you pick up and why?

Smallwood should be rostered due to his use in Philly with Sproles down and Ware can be a freebie into your IR spot (never know if he ends up on a new team next year making him valuable again)

Agree with Smallwood. He tends to disappoint, but you never know.

Smallwood and it's not close.

If you end up snagging a 2nd player, I'd take a free shot on Floyd

Well crap, someone beat me to Smallwood (I did get Ware). Probably ok, since I do have to pick up a TE (we only have waivers once per week on Wednesdays and since Kelce and Reed are both showing on the injury list I went TE to protect).

One more note on my league for those suggesting kicker drop, probably ok for now, but waivers also close on week 13 (we have no pickups during the championship weeks (14-16)), so I usually almost always carry 2 kickers. Better to find them before than take a flyer in week 13.

Strange league, right? (it's pretty fun thinking strategy). Back to Waivers week 7...

Since Smallwood is out, I saw a couple of votes for Floyd. Any thoughts on the other WRs?

definitely Ware for me, esp with an IR spot, the Ware owner in my league wanted a 2nd round pick for him, so he definitely still has value in a lot of people's eyes.
