Enough for Corey Davis?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Enough for Corey Davis?

Postby keebs3 » Mon Sep 25, 2017 10:37 pm

Team 1 in Sig. I'm trying to move Crowell (he's not helping my cause this year). I'm not sure I can get a first for him so I want to target Davis. His owner is competing and doesn't have use for Davis this year- but he could use Crowell.

I wanted to offer a high 2018 2nd + Crowell + 2018 7th for Davis.

Do I need to add future picks? Add one of my young WR's?

My other offer is Corey Coleman + 2018 3.01 for Crowell (it's my own 3rd I traded to him so I know it will be the top of the round)

Thoughts?

That is an easy reject if I am the Davis owner. I might be tempted by Crowell + Mike Williams + a 2nd, but would end up rejecting it, I think.
The Coleman deal looks good. I would take that.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

I don't think your offer is going to get accepted for Davis, so I'd just take the Coleman deal and be happy.

Davis was a top 2 pick, you know no one is trading him right now for a future 2nd and a (to date) failed RB...you must pay the same for Davis now as you would have prior to draft, a lot...and while those 3 futures might get a conversation started, your team is in such disarray that one player won't help all that much. Best bet is to sit back and "earn" the first pick for next year and hope that your other 2 firsts end up high as well. Then work rookie hype as it happens and build your team off awesome offers or just next year's top rookies

ETA: I'm not big on Coleman and see him as made of glass now, but you're also probably not gonna get any better return out of Crow either

No, that's not enough for Davis even though Davis is having hamstring issues. Think of yourself as trying to trade for the 1.2 next year. That wouldn't get the 1.2

wait, so you finally realize crowell sucks (taking people long enough), and know you cant get a first, but you think adding a 2nd and useless pick to him will get you Corey Davis? so very far off

Hey people seems to continue to get a 1st for him. My 2nd is the 11th overall. He needs help at RB and fell into Davis so I figured I would try and steal him to an owner that doesn't pay much attention.

Either way- I'm going to take the Coleman deal

Yeah that's not happening. The Colts game was supposed to be the opportunity to sell high on Crowell and it just didn't happen.

Needing help at RB and having a player he didn't need drop into his lap doesn't mean he needs to sell low. If he puts Davis on the block it's likely he'll get a considerably better back than Crowell. 11th pick is still a crapshoot without knowing who will declare and how the draft will shake out.
