Trubisky + for 2018 first?

Thread title sounds crazy but hear me out. Early first (not his) owner is a huge Bears fan. Owns Howard and Cohen and has been asking me about Trubisky since Trub had those 2 good pre season games

This week, he's mentioned twice that if he gets one of the top QBs coming out next year, would I trade Trubisky for him? I said I'd definitely be interested, depending on landing spot and he was happy with that.

Should I see if he'd move that first now for Trubisky, regardless of player taken, if I throw in maybe a second? One thing is tho, I feel I need a QB and quick as Russel continues to disappoint. Trub will take over for Glennon next year and looked very nfl ready in the pre season, but albeit on a horrible Bears team that has practice squad level recievers.

Edit: I misunderstood him. He was talking his own first, not the early one. His will likely be in the 7-9 range. Still a great deal to move Trub, right?

Edit 2: now down to talking about his second, which he forgot he doesn't have any more. So my second plus Trub for his mid to late first?

I'd favor a QB from the 2018 class over Trib. If you can throw a second plus Trib and do that deal before Trib gets playing time to show on the field, I would HIGHLY encourage you to do so.

Russell is running because of his O-line. Give that time to solidify (or a fresh round of talent in the off-season) and I think he will do well holding the fort for you while your 2018 QB pick gets up to game speed.

g'luck!

Worth a shot. Would be a huge win for you. I don't see Trubisky ever being more than a QB2.

If you can get the 1st now, go for it. But I probably wouldn't throw in the 2nd.

Who's Trubinsky? Sounds like a late-19th century pianist

I legitimately thought his name was Trubinsky for like 2 months after drafting him. My phone has added that spelling to my autocorrect so now even typing Trubisky I have to be careful it's not switching on me lol

Wait, I see nothing here about this being a 2QB league... are you really considering holding Mitch at the expense of an early first? and on top of that, wanting to waste that first on a qb? to replace Russ? Please tell me I'm wrong here, otherwise, this thread is already insane

Yeah...what he said!!

This thread is insane in a 1 QB league. Are you seriously having to question if Trubisky is going to be worth more than any of Barkley, Guice, Chubb, Sutton, or Ridley next season?

Even in a 2QB format, all of those players will have more value, never mind the QBs like Darnold and Rosen will be worth more also.

This thread is insane!

I misunderstood him. He was talking about his own 1st which will be in the 7-9 range.

Still move Trubisky for that, right? Yes 1 QB league, but 6 point touchdowns and 1 point per 20 yards passing so they score quite a bit over the rest

Yes you sell him for that and don't think twice.

I actually reread the question and read thro the OP's sig trying to find some mention of a 2 QB league, haha.

OP, thats a quick sell in a 1 QB (and only 10 team league)! Make that trade and get that pianist out of your sig. Then use your 1st and this one to get into the top 4 during next years draft and get a stud.

I traded 8,9 and 2.6 last year to get pick 1.3 and took Corey Davis. I'd like to get a second 2018 first and be able to move up like that again next year

I'm afraid he's the kind of person that will talk about making a trade but then once the other person agrees to it... he'll get cold feet. He makes a lot of little trades. 3rd and 2nd round value tops. Never seen him move or get a 1st or a player of that value

Well if he backs out, atleast you knew it was too good to be true. Def offer it up tho.

Well he did get cold feet of moving his own first and said he'd offer his second... but he doesn't have a second

Trubisky plus my 2nd (I'm 1-2 with 6th highest scoring, he's shockingly 3-0 with highest scoring in the league thanks to Hunt and Jax defense) for his 1st would be my offer right now as I really value firsts much higher. Make the offer or let this opportunity pass by as he keeps backing down from his initial big talk?
