This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Roster Help Please

Postby Moneyball_85 » Fri Sep 01, 2017 7:08 am

I'm in a 16 team league and I feel like I have a solid team, but we don't have a homerun player who can get us a big 30 point game to put us over the top. The best team is in my division and I have to play him twice a year (starting with week 1). We just set out lineups and I almost pooped my pants because his team would be good in a 8 team league (Rodgers, Zeke, AB, Julio, Gronk).

I know my roster is a little thin and SUPER young. We invested our offseason into the 2017 draft class so we are hoping our guys pan out, but know that all 4-5 rookies wont be what they're cracked up to be. If you were me, what move would you make (if any) to benefit our team and increase our chances of winning this season? Thanks guys

I'd just be patient and let your guys develop for a year or two. Don't try to mess up your team just to try and compete this year and fail.

Hold, that roster looks really good for a 16 team league, could be very good in a year or two

your team is not likely to be competitive right off the bat imo. you have not listed your starting requirements.....but my guess is that your counting on starting 3 or 4 rookies every week. not to mention that your qb and te are in their 2nd year. i just dont see a competitiive team in a 16 teamer.

i agree that the best move is to wait this out. you've sold your soul to the 2017 class of rb's and top wr in the draft......its either move them all for "real" pieces, or ride it out. i would ride it out since arob and jeffery are both young.

I just have to stay in this for the long haul. It won't get fixed over night so hopefully everyone stays healthy

you own 4 of the top 5 rookies.....i wouldnt worry about it for now.....but however you got here.....its going to take some patience. my guess is that you sold some solid players to get these picks.

At this point, you are more than 1, 2, or 3 people away, so sit tight and look forward to a higher draft pick in 2018

While you wait, check IR. Spencer Ware would be a solid pickup. So would Teddy Bridgewater. Players who had high value, who were injured at a young age. Stash them. That's how I picked up Travis Kelce in my dynasty.

Pillage FIRST! THEN burn. Doing it the other way around is pointless.
