Out for Season v IR
We have 2 IR slots but players have to be on NFL IR. Spencer ware on my team is out for the season, but I have yet to see him as an IR designation. Can you construe these to be the same...or will Ware be put on IR soon by KC...it matters as I can replace him if so...TIA

My leagues have always required a player to be listed on the NFL IR. "Out for the season" means the player is still on the NFL active roster.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

that is what I thought....why not put on IR if out for the season...is it the hope that come playoffs they think he may have been rehabbed and available...cause for Ware it sounds like it may be tough for him to get back by week 1 of 2018.

There's no doubt he will be put on the IR at some point. He won't be playing this year and training camp next year could be questionable.

Teams have no reason to rush to IR yet. Likely a matter of just taking their time to perform any paperwork or finalize designation. IR is inevitable for Ware, Meredith, etc, and should occur in next couple of day. I think by some time Saturday as teams have to finalize rosters.

My league handles IR the same way. I've seen it take some days in the past before being able to move a guy into the IR slot. Can't remember if it was the NFL team taking its time or the hosting website only updating IRs once or twice a week. In this instance, KC probably has no reason to move him until roster cut down. You should see it soon.

Final rosters for NFL is Saturday 4pm EST. Teams cut from 90 players to 53 by that date/time. Ware on season-ending IR is inevitable, just depends on your fantasy league dates requirements to designate your roster cuts.

Im in the same boat. Want to put him on IR and pick someone else up with the empty roster spot but can't. Hopefully on Saturday they designate him.
