Jordan Matthews + 2nd for Crowder?

Postby hockeyBjj » Thu Aug 24, 2017 10:07 am

Was offered Jamison Crowder for my Jordan Matthews and '18 2nd round. He'd be my WR 4 behind Evans, K Allen, and Landry and above Theilen. Worth the second for the upgrade? Or wait until the season starts to see how my team is doing and how Matthews is doing on his new team? I also have Corey Davis as a big question mark to his fit on my team.

Personally, I like Crowder a little more than JMatt and Crowder's current ADP is 51 and JMatt's is 85 so I think it's worth a 2nd added to JMatt. With that being said, I think it's a good idea to wait if that don't mind waiting.

I like the potential for Crowder to become one of the premier slot WRs for awhile. I think this year he will build off a great showing last year, and regardless of his QB situation next year (whether or not Cousins resigns or goes to San Fran) he will have cemented himself firmly as a top target. I see him taking a Doug Baldwin type path with a slightly lower ceiling.

Crowder. I see Matthews' value falling throughout the season, and this trade may not be available then.

Your poll may get skewed since it says Landry + 2nd vs. Crowder

I voted for wait and see. I believe Matthews adp is based on his standing on the eagles, not the bills. I like the landing spot in Buffalo, as they will feature a quick rhythm offense that should lead to many catches. I know lots of people are down on Matthews as he's never taken the next step to becoming an elite fantasy wr, but he's a 25 year old wr who has averaged 202.2 points per year in ppr leagues and should be sought after as a free agent next year.
