Jordan Howard..

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Jordan Howard..

Postby colonnaj94 » Sun Jul 23, 2017 9:20 pm

Hey everyone, for team 1 in my signature, I was looking to package Jordan Howard + Mark Ingram for an RB1 upgrade. I have a potential deal with one team who really needs RB depth, he was thinking this over, I give Howard, Ingram, Brate and Hogan for Freeman, Treadwell, Kupp.
Is this a fair offer, should I even consider upgrading Howard, should I move Howard for a WR, what would you guys do if you had my team?

FWIW I consider
Johnson
Bell
Elliott
Fournette
Freeman
Gordon
McCaffery

All long-term upgrades

and
McCoy
Murray

as Short-Term Upgrades

Not sure you need to do that. I don't think Freeman is that big of an upgrade over Howard.

I would prefer to have the Freeman side of this deal. Mostly coming down to Freeman vs. Howard.

Howard is better than most of your names on that list. I'm not making that move.

This. I have Freeman ranked slightly higher but not by much. For what it's worth, I think startup ADP has these 2 about 6-7 apart.

Freeman won me over last year but that move doesn't really improve your team. You are deeper at RB than WR, so I'd address WR first.

I do like Freeman- but don't think you should move Howard at this point. He might take a drop this year as teams will pack the line, but long term I see no reason to do this.

If you have Freeman as an upgrade then go for it. I'd encourage trading depth for an upgrade wherever you can find a willing trade partner, and only you can decide on who you value more highly. I wish I could trade away some pieces for an upgrade!

How do you rank Miller compared to Howard? Probably keep whoever you have highest that's for sure...

Thanks for the responses. I just think Freeman has the best opportunity to continue his top 5 RB numbers where as Howard is in a pretty horrible situation.. Freeman has done it 2 years in a row now & Is in a contract year.. He doesn't come at the same cost as DJ/Bell/Elliott do yet puts up numbers that are at least somewhat close to them..

I keep seeing this sentiment over and over again on these forums but no one ever explains why they think that... His situation hasn't changed from a year ago unless people seem to think that the loss of Alshon Jeffery has completely overhauled the entire offense.
