Superflex Offer: Andrew Luck for Robbie Gould

Just kidding, but I'm thinking about offering Luck to help shore up my RBs. I'd only trade him if I also got a good/young QB in return. Haven't sent this out, but what about something like Luck for Wentz and Dalvin Cook? Is Cook valuable enough to bridge the gap? Not even sure the other team would go for it, but curious what you all think.

14 Team League: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, FLEX, OP. Superflex, TE Premium (1.5 PPR and .15PPY), WR PPR, RB .25PPC and .5PPR, QB 4 point TD.

Startup Draft is just about done. My strategy was to focus on QBs and TE's. Here is my team so far:

QB: Andrew Luck, Dak Prescott, Teddy Bridgewater, AJ McCarron, Brock Osweiler
RB: Bilal Powell, Derrick Henry, Thomas Rawls, Wendell Smallwood, Kyle Juszczyk
WR: Brandin Cooks, Cameron Meredith, Randall Cobb, John Brown, John Ross, Malcolm Mitchell, Tyler Boyd
TE: Travis Kelce, Kyle Rudolph, CJ Fiedorowicz, Austin Hooper, Clive Walford, Jeff Heuerman, Mychal Rudolph
Traded 2018 1st, 3rd and 4th Rounders

I think that's hella light for Luck in a SF, by an early 1st or more; I have to imagine the value of a SF QB is inflated even more in a 14-team setting...I'd be looking to sell Powell and any of the TEs/WRs during season for max future asset value. I know depth is key in the larger leagues and your team just doesn't seem to have it outside of QB and TE, which is why I think with what you do have selling a few pieces could net you that depth starting next year

I like Wentz but there is no way that is enough for Luck in any format.

I second Luck being essentially untouchable in a 14 team Superflex. And even if you were to entertain trading him, there would simply have to be a top young QB coming back. For example, Carr+ or Mariota+.

I really like what you did in the startup though. Having Luck and Dak as your starters, with Teddy and Brock as possible bye-week fillers and McCarron as an upside development stash is a great take, even in a 12 team Superflex. Obviously you lack any premium WRs or RBs, but I like the guys you did grab.

The only place where I think you might have overdone it is at TE; the 1.5ppr + the extra points per yard is nice. You've probably got four startable guys with TE1 upside in Kelce, Rudolph, Fiedorowicz and Hooper, but you can only start three tops, even if you wanted to (not sure how much the bonus will do to bring them on par with WR/RB). Maybe you can package two of them to a TE needy team for an RB2? Abdullah, CJA, Hyde, Crowell, Montgomery, DMart... that sort may all be in reach in this format.

You need a much better QB and/or RB coming back to you if you are trading Luck. Aim high with your offers, then after you decide on one, add more too it. Luck's value in a 14 team superflex like others have said should be damn near untouchable.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. While I'm not sure I agree anyone is untouchable especially in a 14 team league where depth is a little more important, I certainly don't want to sell luck short. I'll hold off

We must be thinking of different Andrew Lucks bc the one I'm thinking of finished as QB4 (while missing one game) in my league last year and played a total of 7 games the year before due to injury so obviously wasn't going to have a good year. And not to mention putting up nearly 5,000 yards in 2015 to go with 40 TD passes.

Like others have said, you should be getting a Winston/Mariota/Carr type back if you're moving Luck. Could even try for ARod+ a little piece based on age.
