Not sure anyone can afford to lose both DJ and MG. There's just not enough guys like them out there, so you'll have to overpay big time.

Now if this GM is actually willing to part with one (which isn't a given), DJ will cost metric tons, while MG will cost tons. Gronk and Jones probably aren't enough for either, but it might fetch MG.

On top of the ridiculous cost, not getting an RB back in the trade makes it even harder to swing - unless you include a high draft pick too.

I think your team is ready for another championship even if you stay put. I'm not a Gordon so at his price I wouldn't personally be buying. As stated above DJ is gonna cost a ton and may be hard to acquire. I would stand pat and make the decision mid season if you have to add someone

You're coming off back to back championships, why make such a large scale change? I agree with vixen, I'd just go after 1 of those RBs.

Such a hard trade to try and make, I think DJ is almost unobtainable for a reasonable price. I dont try to buy guys coming off of career years.
Some ideas maybe
Julio for Melvin + future 1st
Julio, Gurley, Gronk for DJ and a 2nd (I hate this trade but Gronk and Gurley are coming off down years and is something like this which would be required if the owner is as bad as you say)

What is the likelihood of going after Bell? I have rated similarly to dJ and some owners are wary of him being banned for drugs. Julio straight up or a sweetener may get that one done

I actually like the starting line-up that you have better than the one that you'd acquire. And the cost would be WAYYYY too high...

Not sure it's going to be worth giving up so much value for one or two players when your team is already coming off a championship.

I'd worry about giving up so much for two guys who were injured at the end of the year. Melvin has been dinged up dating back to college but DJ was the late season knee banger.

Suppose you deal the barnyard for those two and then they both get hurt? Your back-to-back-to-back would be shot.
